Coach windows shot out

COACH 5 DHThugs wielding an air gun have shot the windows of a coach belonging to a Black Country marching band, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Members of the Tividale Tigers spent months fundraising and applying for grants to buy the 53-seater coach.

But they have been left devastated after vandals went on a wrecking spree, shooting all the windows they could reach. The only ones spared were on the right hand side where it had been parked beside trees. Band trainer Stacey O’Neill said: “I don’t know why anyone would have done it, that’s the worst thing. I just feel really angry.”

The coach is used to pick up all 30 members of the band to take them to their twice-weekly rehearsals at Tividale Community Centre.

Miss O’Neill, aged 21, from the Brickhouse Estate in Rowley Regis, said they would now have to cancel rehearsals until the coach is repaired. They vehicle cost the band £4,500 when they bought it two years ago.

I live in tividale and I am sick of the youths that seem to get away with being so disrepectful to others around them. I think its time these youths got a bit of there own medicine, maybe then they’d learn some respect. Line them all up against a wall and shoot them with an air rifle!

I think the Victorians were right.Thank the flower-power dogood generation for all this sort of utter stupidity (like the digger in the locks the other day) .A few months on a treadmill in uniforms with broken arrows would be most effective.I am also more and more shocked by the use of all these firearms in the Midlands in general.Given the rubbish on late night satellite TV in the UK it does not surprise me.The region’s youth seems hooked on imitating Los Angeles .Mind you round here in the Paris suburbs we have people who blow ATMs out of bank walls (Aubervilliers).Sad world !

well, the mindless vandalism, that affects others strikes again. Am i right in thinking it was this band, and vehicle which came to the aid of the coach crash victims in scarbourough last year?

Anyway, if you can afford to repair your coach, can i suggest that the model is plentiful in mnay breakers yards, and would be a fraction of the cost compared to new windows.

    good luck
