Off-plan buy is a success for couple

The Spires development in Stourbridge ticked all the boxes for house-hunters Paul Malthouse and Becky Willmott. The Spires development in Stourbridge ticked all the boxes for house-hunters Paul Malthouse and Becky Willmott.

The off-plan purchase of their three bedroomed semi-detached Charleston house from Bryant Homes was exactly what the couple were loooking for.

Paul says: “I was living in a two bedroomed home just down the road from the development while Becky was living with her parents.

“When we saw that the marketing suite had opened at The Spires we went along to have a look at the plans and we both loved the unusual shape of the Charleston.

“There were only four houses of this design available so to ensure we didn’t miss out we decided to buy off -plan. We’re really pleased we did as we’ve recently learned that the Charleston homes have all sold out.”

Paul, who works as a design engineer for sprinkler systems, regularly travels from the company’s head office in Stourbridge to London and wanted a home offering easy access to good road and rail networks.

He adds: “The Spires is in an excellent location for both work and play. The M5 isn’t far and Stourbridge Junction offers regular rail services into Birmingham and Worcester.

“We also both really like being within easy reach of Stourbridge town centre as it has lots of great bars and restaurants where we can go to for a night out.

“The Spires offers us exactly what we we’re looking for - a great home in a fantastic location.”

Rita Tyler, regional sales manager for Bryant Homes, comments: “We are really pleased that Paul and Becky have settled into their new home at The Spires so well. The development offers exactly what Paul said - great homes in an excellent location.

“Young professionals like Paul and Becky will find the three bedroomed Wessex homes right up their street with the added advantage that it is priced under the stamp duty threshold.

“Growing families will also find four bedroom homes which offer plenty of flexible living space.

Due to the high levels of interest we have received, I’d urge anyone interested in The Spires to act fast to avoid disappointment.”

The Spires offers two, three and four-bedroom homes situated on Church Avenue, close to the centre of Stourbridge, with prices starting from £129,995. Those looking for the buzz of city life will find Birmingham and Worcester city centres within easy reach.

For those who prefer to explore the countryside, head to Kinver Edge which is just two miles away or the magnificent Wyre Forest.

To make moving to The Spires even easier Bryant Homes has an initiative for purchasers to take advantage of.

The Market Plus scheme means that purchasers only pay 75 per cent of the price now and they have the reassurance of owning 100 per cent of the property.

There is no deposit to pay and the other 25 per cent is provided rent and interest free by Bryant Homes for up to 10 years, at which point purchasers repay 25 per cent of their home’s current market value.

The Spires is open seven days a week from 9.30am until 5pm.
