A printing factory in Walsall which used to make stamps for Royal Mail could be bulldozed to make way for a new housing development.
The former Walsall Lithographic Company building in Wednesbury Road has been earmarked for demolition as part of a 48-home development being proposed by Bromford Housing Group.
It is not the first time the factory, which closed in 2006 after 112 years, has faced demolition. Previous plans have fallen by the wayside.
But the latest plans will be put before councillors at a meeting tomorrow.
It includes converting other buildings in the area into 38 new houses and 10 maisonettes.
Walsall Lithographic Company, whose 120-strong workforce previously produced postage stamps for Royal Mail and whisky labels for Grants, was founded in 1894.
It became Walsall Print Company before closing its doors in 2006 due to financial difficulties which forced it in to administration.
