A new music shop has opened up in Wolverhampton for rock junkies, beginners to instruments and heavy metal lovers.
Rockaholic, based in Blakenhall, stocks equipment like drums, guitars, amps, leads, educational DVDs, books and microphones.
The owner of the store, 39-year old Alan de Marco, has given up a job teaching adults with learning disabilities to open it up.
He said: “I had a good job before, but I used to be in a rock band so I’ve got a good background for this kind of thing.
“I used to go all over the place in homes and colleges teaching people with learning disabilities, but I gave it up to do this.
“We are planning to make the shop stock something for everyone, from real rock lovers to beginners.
“We will be stocking a lot of accessories, as well as a range of educational DVDs and books for those that want to give it a try.
“It will be for rock fans, but also those who just like music. Rockaholic is just a catchy title we came up with.”
The store is based in Moorfield Road and is open between 10am to 5pm every day apart from Sunday. It opens up for the first time on Saturday
