Injured Albion star Kim Do-heon is set for an emotional reunion with his wife and young son later this month.
Kim has met his one-month-old child just once after putting his new career with the Baggies over trips back to his native South Korea.
Now the international midfielder, who is sidelined by medial knee ligament problems, is preparing to welcome wife Jung Hye-Won and their son to England.
Boss Tony Mowbray said: “I did suggest to him he could go home during his rehabilitation process.
“His family are quite close to coming over now, so he has got something to look forward to now while he is getting fit.”

just heard about “the horse”, he’s a true whole hearted bloke and i’d like to send my best wishes to him. also, kim has been a real pro and put his club and career before his family. he’s showed glimpses of his undoubted ability in what must have been a stressful time for him. so, now his wife and little one are coming over, he’ll settle down and i can’t wait to see why he’s rated as a superstar back in the far east. two different stories but it shows the human side of all this. GET WELL SOON GEOFF. i’m sure that go’s for all baggies and bluenoses.
get well soon geoff horsfield, our thoughts and best wishes are with you, a brilliant striker for the baggies.
Best wishes to the Horse from me as well.
Things like that put football on the back burner, and no matter who any of us support, I’m sure we all wish him a speedy recovery!!
