An airport-style metal detector has been installed at a Wolverhampton school as part of the police battle against knife crime. The device has been brought into Parkfield High School in Wolverhampton Road East for two weeks. Despite the school not having a problem with knives, they invited the police to carry out the test in order to spread the anti-knife-carrying message.
Expect students to be loading themselves with as much metal as they can lay their hands on so that they can delay going to their classes.
