Just a month ago it was a derelict site on a busy road in Wolverhampton, but all that changed in a matter of days as the shell of a controversial new Lidl supermarket sprang up. The German supermarket giant’s acquisitions manager, Charlotte Davies, said “they seem keen to see it open before Christmas.”
