A Walsall care home boss was voted top of the tree at an annual health care award presentation.
Sue Nicholls, who works at Delves Court, has been presented with her trophy at a ceremony by Big Brother winner Brian Dowling.
She was shortlisted for the award for her outstanding work at the residential home, in Walstead Road, Delves, by owner Hallmark Healthcare.
Around 300 guests were at the glitzy ceremony and mask ball held at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel, at Heathrow last week.
Mrs Nicholls, aged 53, said: “When they called out my name as the winner I was completely shocked. I never thought it would be me.
“I love my job, my residents and my colleagues and to be acknowledged in such a way is a huge honour.
“I am only one person who is part of a fantastic team here at Delves Court and the award speaks volumes for all of our hard work.”
She was shortlisted at a day spent with the judges in Essex and was declared winner after she impressed the panel with her professional standards and positive attitude.
Mr Dowling, now a TV presenter, was the compere at the event along with Miss Universe UK Lisa Lazarus.
The entertainment included can-can dancers, burlesque waitresses, living statues and illusionists.
Hallmark Healthcare managing director Avnish Goyal said: “She is a terrific ambassador for the company and I was pleased to congratulate her personally on her win.”
