Belles of the hospice ball

The great and good of Stafford dressed in their best clothes for the annual Katharine House Hospice Ball to help boost the charities coffers.

Hundreds of guests flooded into the County Showground near Stafford on Saturday night for the glitzy event which has become the highlight of the hospice’s calendar of fundraising events.

Guests at the ball, held in the Ingestre Suite, were treated to a delicious five course meal before the entertainment was started by Stafford party band the Cartoon Kings. There was also a charity auction and raffle with guests able also able to try their luck at table games and a prize packed tombola.

Tickets for the annual ball went on sale in April and the hospice had sold over 250 by the start of summer. All proceeds from the event will go towards the care for patients and their families.
