Coogan brings comedy creations to life

Steve Coogan as ‘Alan Partridge’TV funnyman Steve Coogan descends on the Midlands this month with his fiendish cast of self-invented comedy characters in tow, including favourites Alan Partridge and Paul and Pauline Calf.

His show - Steve Coogan is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters - comes to Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall on Saturday, October 4, before moving on to the NIA on October 29 and 30.

Coogan will bring to life the characters that have made him a BAFTA and British Comedy Award winning Comedy Legend.

Over the past decade, the comedian has established himself as one of the most popular, charismatic and versatile comic actors working in Britain today.

Described by The Mirror as “extremely funny” and “hugely entertaining” by The Observer, the show is named after Coogan’s best-known character, the Norfolk-based radio DJ Alan Partridge.

Tickets are priced at £30, subject to booking and transaction fee, and can be purchased from The Ticket Factory on 0871 945 6000.

I’d read the reviews of the Stoke shows before going to the Civic, and as they were bad reviews I was a little apprehensive.
Sadly they were correct, an awful show, under-rehearsed and not funny at all.
I’m gutted to have wasted £32 on 2 hours of this rubbish. Coogan is a genius but this show is possibly the worst thing he’s ever done.

Still as it was ‘Sold Out’ I wouldn’t imagine he cares, he still gets paid for this dross.

He hasn’t toured for 10 years, hopefully after this show it’ll be another 10.

What a load of rubbish, Coogan would not win an amateur talent competition with that performance.
    I feel cheated.

i too was also disappointed with coogan on saturday. i have been a massive alan partridge fan for years and I went to coogans last show at the civic ten years ago. the show he did last time was so good i was really looking forward to seeing him this time around. I was really hoping to see him at his best but can say that he was far from it on sat. there should have been far more alan. thirty two pounds down the drain im afraid
