Super Wolves remain top of the Championship after keeping their unbeaten start going with a brilliant win at Charlton.
Due to technical issues, some of the audio disappears in the middle of the video.
Substitute Sam Vokes was the toast of Wolverhampton, after a late two goal blast secured a 3-1 win.
Vokes put Mick McCarthy’s men ahead for the first time in the 79th minute, when he volleyed home a cross from makeshift left back Stephen Ward.
Seven minutes later Vokes and Wolves were in dream land, when the 18-year old-striker stabbed home, after keeper Nicky Weaver failed to hold Michael Kightly’s shot after a pass from Karl Henry.
Earlier, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake had levelled from the spot for his third of the season after Andy Keogh - a late replacement for Chris Iwelumo, who was injured in the warm-up - was tripped by Nicky Bailey.
McCarthy’s side trailed from as early as the third minute when Nicky Bailey scored a goal of the season contender - a full blooded volley that ripped into the top corner from 30 yards.
Ebanks-Blake deservedly got Wolves back on level terms.
Keogh then had the ball in the net for the visitors, only for his effort to be ruled offside, after keeper Weaver had spilled Dave Jones’s right foot drive.
Wolves again had to weather early pressure from Charlton at the start of the second half, but McCarthy’s side were always able to counter and break in numbers when the opportunity arose.

Excellent substitutions by mick it just shows how strong the wolves are looking. a great squad of players keep up the good work.
Excellent result. Hope we can keep it up. Stearman and Vokes look excellent buys.
Time to believe that this could very well be our year. Excellent win yet again.
Super Super Wolves.
This is the season - even my wife says so.
What a great result. Come on you Wolves, prepare for next Tuesday to get another good result against the Palace.
Brilliant result one of the impressive things we have this season is not only a good starting line up but an excellent bench hence Sam Vokes 2day, its all looking really good come on lads!!!!!
Super Wolves pure and simple… They look devestating when in full flow…
Side swapped with 5 minutes to go, keogh grafting his socks off & vokes’ super sub cameo…
a good performance against palace will finally show the boo boys, we are the real deal…
excellent victory, now lets keep the momentum going and beat Palace on tuesday!! well done Sam Vokes he’s had a great week with his winner for wales last saturday and his 2 predortary strikes today.
Very astute signing’s Mick has made and with Olifinjana sold the midfield has more creativity & guile and if we play this exciting brand of football every week then automatic promotion is a very realistic target/
C’mon you Wolves!
This is no longer a rough diamond, this is the real thing. There are enough gems in this team to keep even Mrs Beckham happy!!.
This is why we kept believing…let’s fill the Golden Palace Tuesday.
must not forget Ward…
satisfactory!
Why oh why is Hennesey still in goal! great outfield team but we may not stay top with him still in goal anyone want to say he’s good? if so i’ll tell you lot why he’s rubbish! great performance anyway.
By all accounts a superb performance from Stephen Ward today so special praise for him and for MM for sticking to his guns and picking him. HIS players are now doing the job for the Wolves! Well done Mick!
Too early to say it is our year but what a fantastic start!!!!
Dont want so spoil the party but I hope injuries don’t knacker us up!!!
Until we are promoted I shall keep my jubilations in check!!!
Dare we dream ? Hope big Chris is fit for tuesday though! Freddie Who?
Dare we dream? Let`s hope big Chris is fit for tuesday! FREDDIE WHO?
we r top of the league say we r top of the league
Despite the general optimism from the majority going into this season, I do not think any of us could have imagined this. They look awesome all over the field, and beyond it with the likes of Vokes coming off the bench.
Mick said this month would give us an idea of how good we are.
I fully expect us to give Palace a lesson on Tuesday. Preston (A), Bristol City (H) are both still unbeaten and Reading (H) is always gonna be a tough game. Look where we went though today. Not many will go there and score three. All without our top scorer in the line up. Look at the state of some of the clubs up and down the country. We have already lost two of our best defenders yet the shrewd work in the market still leaves us with sheer quality and strength throughout the squad.
Let’s fill the ground on Tuesday.
Im over the moon with our start so far this season. Fantastic feeling and great to see us playing some entertaining footy.
Roll on Palace
Only five games in… but doesn’t it look promising. Maybe, just maybe, we may not be at each others throats? Well, till we lose a match at least.
Please those of you there tell us how Ward and Keogh played. Just so that it’s in the record.
What can I say? Well done to Mick, the team and our club. Great stuff, it’s made a real difference to my general mood I can tell you!
well it actually shows us that wolves have got a lot of goals in them. see what a few good signings does for the whole teams future. come on you wolves
We are top of the league, we are top of the league!!!
(Muppet Fans out)
Great but daint we miss the big man in the middle hurry up back humo
Good win today lads, keep it up and hopefully you’ll be joining us in the prem, its been a long time since we played WW.
.. just home from the game and can’t stop smiling. Awesome performance - never in doubt that we’d win!! I’ve never seen a player work harder in a Wolves shirt tthan Keogh today - left out, got his chance, worked his socks off at both ends - hard to leave him out now!! As for super-sub Vokes - he’s just going to keep getting better and better!! Hard to see how Mick could do better for us! BRILLIANT!!
Said we are top of the league
said we are top of the league
A good result, looks like the show is holding together. “makeshift left back Stephen Ward” still worries me. Once we hit a quality team he will be turned inside-out. He is not a natural left back!
I was in dreamland after the Forest result but to go to Charlton and put in that sort of performance (there aint going to be too many sides that go there this season and come away with a result)is in many ways a better outcome than the Forest demolition - it is as good a start to a season as I can remember in many a long year - results/performance builds confidence - we are buzzing. Bring on Palace!!
Nothing from the muppet out/ince in brigade tonight? How odd…
This Wolves team are for real. Great win in a really entertaining game. Keogh and Stephen Ward were the stars but who would have believed the new Steve Bull would arrive as an 18 year old Welshman from Bournemouth.
by jo i think were gonna it!
I was at the game today and I have to say that Stephen Ward put in a superb shift at left back - an outstanding performance. You’ve got to take your hat off to the guy for his willingness and determination to get in the team.
There is one major difference in the Wolves team this season versus any wolves team for the past 5 years. An assurance and confidence that we will win, which is permeable through both the players and the fans.
We went 1-0 down yest despite that there was no panic, frustration, anxiety, just an assured display that made us all feel like we would win the game.
We showed showed grit and determination, particularly Henry, Ward and Stearman who committed to every challenge and scrapped for every loose ball.
There is something different about us this year. The most exciting thing is to see our attacking force and the options we have available. Iwelumo, SEB, Keogh and Vokes are all very different strikers but all bring something different to the team.
It’s early days but it doesn’t feel like this is going to be a seasion where we’ll be looking over our shoulders, wobbling through results and scrapping around at 6th and 7th come the end of the season.
We look a proper outfit, composed and quality. We’ve all had our say on Mick, his buys, and the way the team play but the players brought in in the transfer window have helped build a squad to not only be up there in May but we could be at the top of the pile.
It’s an exciting time to be a wolves fan. Today’s game was awesome.
Yes, where are those boo boys and Mick haters? I suspect they are stuffed full of humble pie….. yum yum!!
lets have a sell out against palace then and get behind the lads
Nice that the negative vibe merchants have had to shut up.
Eating humble pie….good riddance too.
They must be really fed up that they can’t find anything to moan about.Their silence is deafening.
Pathetic morons.
It’s the best Wolves start for 25 years, long may it continue, cos this last 5 games has been worth the price of my season ticket already, even though 3 of them were away..
After all the comments this week, it was nice that we grafted and got a win with a team performance that wasn’t dependent only on our illustrious wingers. Kightly and Jarvis were largely over shadowed by Keogh, who didn’t stop despite being clattered several times,Henry and obviously big Sam Vokes. A mention is also due to last year’s whipping boy - Stephen Ward didn’t shirk a tackle all game. Well done all the lads - a good win and nice to still be top of the league!
Canada Wolves are loving it too!!
Are we Chelsea in disguise. What to say - we now know what we can do - so keep the faith during the tough times when (as they surely will) they come.
I was glad to say I made the Valley today, but what annoyed me most were…..Brain dead idiots, who kept standing up whenever someone attacked, blocking my view.
I was in South Stand,Block B Row I.
As a disabled bloke with back, neck & hip problems, I couldn’t follow suit & shouted myself hoarse trying to get them to sit down.
A thouroughly enjoyable day spoilt by Idiots!
THANKS FOR NOTHING!
Great stuff boys, well done Mick from learning from last season. Don’t try and fix anything that aint broken. Well done also to the likes of Collins and Stephen Ward for their contributions. We now have the back up and players in reserve to step in when anyone loses a bit of form. Iwelumo has a slight groin strain but should feature for at least part of the game against Palace, I’m glad that ones not too serious. Being top helps a great deal, its not as if the players on the bench will get too frustrated like last season. They know they will get an opportunity. We now have the making of a finely balanced side that everyone can contribute to when the opportunity arises. Compared to last season when we were playing crap and had no impact players on the bench this season is refreshing to say the least. Roll on Tuesday night, lets keep the Molineux tank roaring forward. Filled with the amunition in good working order to maul over the next obstacle
Excellent………….it was only a couple of months aga that the boo boys wanted MM gone………where are you now?????????
Lets not get carried away. Lets get behind the team. Its now or never. Keep the faith.
Well done guys. You top, Birmingham 2nd. Thats what we wanna see. Looking forward to next season in the PL, cos trust me, we are gonna stay there
What a fantastic day in sunny SE London. The 3000 wolves fans roared the babbies on to victory
Super, Super Sam, Super Sammy Vokes!
What a change in determination and perseverance compared with last season! Can’t wait for Tuesday. Incidentally, is it any coincidence that the stripey lot win just after the atoms have been sent off on a collision course? The end of the world is surely nigh.
on a roll keep it up lads 2 home games 2 come 6 points and the rest will all be looking up,cant wait 2 come over next month
Truly wonderful result, its also reassuring that we have so many options except in the wings, if Kites and Jarvo play most of the season then anything less than a top two finish would be seen as failure.
P.S. Anyone know anything about our wonderkid Ismail who Chelsea and the other dirty vultures who are trying to poach him? This kind of behaviour is killing the game and its perhaps time to ban these dispiccable creatures from our traning ground!
The new full backs wil have a lot to do to dislodge Ward, Charlton sent most of there attacks down our left side and he did very well even got forward to cross for that very important second goal.
FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE AND BRILLIANT RESULT..WHAT A PLAYER VOKES IS GONNA BE!!.
ALSO VERY WELL DONE STEPHEN WARD..SOLID AT LEFT BACK AND IMPRESSIVE GOIN FORWARD.
YEP SUPER MICK IS BACK AGAIN.. AND LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!!!!!!
BRING ON PALACE.. BARMY ARMY!!
Great result and a fantastic start to the season.
But one thing that concerns me is what is happening with the training at our club?
Over the last few seasons all we hear is “injured in training” already a new signing has fallen foul to our training tactics, now Iwelumo injured in the warm up!!
Daley spent most of his playing days in the sick room is he passing this trait of his onto others?
Its a long season and injuries in training are just not what we need, it is a worry.
Come on the Wolves.
Trevb
Sorry to hijack, but I saw this today.
Chelsea are ready to make a £2m move for Wolves’ 15-year-old attacker Zele Ismail - the hot prospect dubbed the next Theo Walcott. (The People)
Any idea who this guy is?
An Absolute Plesure To Witness A Fantastic Away Win. Went Up Through The Gears In The Secound Half,We Were Un Playable At Times.
!!STOURPORT WOLVES!!
WELL DONE SUPER MICK
I have been a wolves fan for years and except the Bully years, this is by far the best squad we have had, goals from all over the park.

FANTASTIC,FANTASTIC,FANTASTIC.
we are playing with confidence and belief,COME ON YOU WOLVES.
As if further proof were needed, the comments from terryEASYWINbaggie show beyond doubt that care in the community really doesn’t work. Sod off to your own page and bore them instead.
great result, Stephen ward and neil collins, last two games, VERY VERY impressed in fairness to them, bouazza and sam arent easy wingers 2 contain but i neva felt threatend by them running down our left.
keep the goals cumin!!
p.s. one of these days stearman wil run the length of the pitch and score im sure of it
i think this terrybaggie bloke could have severe learning difficulties. Must have sneaked onto the ward computer when the nurse wasn’t looking. Poor thing. genetics can be so cruel.
Last season we were 9 pts after 9 games. We can push for 20+ this season!
i can still remember when yow out played southampton and lost 6-0 aye boing boing donk
Neil Collins ans Stephen Ward were superb but Carl Henry was MoM.
34 BillaWolves. Bully was a shining light tht played in a very average team, this team is comparable to the teams of the 50s, young, fast and hungry for wolves success.
Well done wolves
Super super Mick
Super super Mick
Super Super Mick
Super Mick McCarthy.
I new he was a great manager but this start is unbeliveable.
hey terryEASYWINbaggie..
just to shut you up MATE, we drew 3-3 with man city in the prem, won 3-1 against leeds in the same year, but just to shut ur manky baggy gob up, we beat leicester 4-3 at molineux on the 25th october 2003! so just stick to the baggies u fool!
terrycrappie-don’t get carried away-everybody is beating west haaaam, wait until you face Liverpool, Man U, Chelea etc, etc, then watch the bubble burst.
I was so excited I wasn’t even bothered about that shower in Sandwell!!
We are awesome.
Terrywallyboggie, Stay in your own back yard,We are talking serious football on here. But then, you wouldn’t know what that was, aye, Boink plop dunk.

Dear Terrynobrainboggie - when will you realise that we just doe f’ing care bout you & your brain dead comments - just get a life
PS last time we scored 3 in the prem was 2003/04 season - u happy now ?
23 - surely there are seating areas for the less able at the Valley ? Those “idiots” are Wolves fans who travelled to London and payed to see their team play, they have every right to jump, shout, cheer and stand.
35/37/38 - Idiot.
Ur run will end soon
How fickle are your fans?????
end of last year… u want Mick out and now he is a legend.lol
me thinks not somehow, as you will crash and burn sooner rather than later.
there is sum sad people about have 2 cum onto the wolves page just because there team ay classy enough and albion fans will neva say stuff to ur face
Full credit to board for sticking by MM when the boo boys wanted him out b4 we even started the season! Good job we have men in charge of our football club that dont listen to those idiots in the stands like those at newcastle!
Love what your doing SM!
zelly is a 15 yr academy player that we’ve been trying to keep under wraps from hijackers but after his player of the tournememt in the milk cup (ireland) which the lads lost 3-2 to everton……chelsea want him …..hence wolves putting him on proffesional terms already !!!!…..if wolves sell then moxey should go cause this lad going to be worth 5x that amount in a couple of years …..!!!!!!
great result, Stephen Ward’s cross for the second (all important) goal was superb. Capt, Henry’s 70 yard run for the 3rd was a credit to the lad too, not sure Oli would have made the same run that late in the game either. Great finishing by Vokes and a comfident penalty from SEB. The future’s bright, the future’s orange……..
Let’s hope we sell out on Tuesday night against Palace (I’ll have to be up at 5:00 am to listen to that one live.)
TerryDumptyBaggies, your not up on your stats are you. We scored 3 goals and more in a couple of games.
Well done lads great result the weekend bring on the Palce.
Congrats to all the other Midlands clubs only waititing for the Villa to win tonight.
Looking good for the Midlands clubs.
***Calling all Wolves Fans Ignore Terry The Bogey!***
I think he may be Freddie Eastwood trying to poison the spirit!
Well done guys keep it going! I see there is competiton for places which keeps everyone on their toes like the Dave Jones promotion team!
UP THE WOLVES!!!
Phenomenal start to season!
Why did he not start with Vokes
I thought Keogh did really well when he moved to the left wing. If you noticed first half, Jarvis never got a sniff, because Charlton doubled up on him at every opportunity. So mick had to take him off second half. And this changed the game. He brought on Vokes and shifted Keogh to the left and Charlton didn’t have a clue what to do. In my eyes. A tactical masterpiece. And we could of had 4 or 5.
We were tipped off about Vokes by a Bournemouth fan who said that he is rated as the next Shearer down saarf - Some idiots on here tried the usual brainless comments when we said this pre season - Its only the start - that lad (Vokes) will go on and produce the goods given half a chance - This youth team lad Zele Ismail - How on earth can we keep him “under wraps” - He has to play games at some point? Sell him for £2m so that he can sit in Chelskis reserves? NO WAY! Loan him out and give him some lower league first team experience and then make him part of the squad!
i have no friends and we are still going down. AYE DOWN BONK
87. why does Vokes need to start? he’s only 18 there’s a long season ahead and no need to burn him out. The tactic of bringing him on after an hour seems to work well for Wolves and Wales. A young, fast and fresh pair of legs to run at tired defenders and score goals.
brilliant result by the boys, hoping we spank warnock and his cockney plebs on tuesday nite.
79.LUFC…concentrate on league1 u muppet,ur punching above ur weight on this page mate
Mick McCarthy’s Gold Black Army!!!!!!!
Great day out in London, great result. Palace Tuesday then im off to Preston. Well done the real fans on Saturday, we were louder than the home crowd

Sounds about right.
94- Terry, just for the record we actually got relegated with more points than your lot got in your great escape year. Please check your stats before commenting because you always end up looking foolish.
Palace are our bogey team 110% effort needed to beat em. Let Mick pick the team, Vokes I’m sure will play but Mick at the moment knows best!

98 Give Kent Wolf a break matey - If you had to put up with the physical pain that this bloke does everyday, maybe you would understand how he feels!
Maybe next time have a word with the stewards before the game starts Kent Wolf - some people dont have the brains to think about others first! All the best!
UP THE WOLVES!!!
Moxey and Morgan are real scared, Morgan might have to show some cash if we keep this up.
Can anyone see that happening and maybe Moxey allowing the club to be in the red to keep in the Premiership, if we get there?
Accountant wolves, where are you?
get you own nikname
tough game coming against palace lets support the team this is our season binda singh
Wolves fans
Congrats on another win. Magic/Muppet said he wanted you to emulate us at the start of the season and you’re doing a good job so far!
On another note have any of you seen that tart who posts on Albion pages calling himself terryNOLIFEbaggie? Surely you all must be embarrassed by this kids dribbling posts? I know the real Terry annoys you but his posts are just fun and banter - this guy’s just a knob!
P.S. I only paid £15 for my ticket, with one free for my carer. When are Wolves gonna offer the same deal?I can get free carers tickets for England games@ Wembley & had a similar offer for Palace & QPR away last season!
