Shackell completes Wolves move

Jason Shackell has completed his move to Wolves after declaring it time to move on from Norwich.

The 24-year-old central defender has signed a four-year deal in a transfer worth around £1million.

He said: “I’m very excited. It’s time for me to move on.  I’d come through the academy at Norwich and have been there for eight years.

“I’m leaving behind some good people and a lot of friends - but to have the opportunity to move to a club like Wolves is one I’m really looking forward to.

“This is a massive club with great facilities and a good, young squad. It feels to good to be part of it. As much as I definitely loved my time there it is also the right time to move on.

“There was some talk about the move earlier on in the summer but it died down. To be honest, I thought it was dead but it came about again just before the weekend.

“I’m very happy to be here.”
