A pub in Wednesfield was today closed after a blaze wrecked part of its bar.
Fire crews were called to the Pear Tree Inn in Cannock Road, Wednesfield, around 4am yesterday.
Station officer Dave Nail, of Wolverhampton fire station, said: “There appears to have been a fault with an electrical junction box. It will take a while to repair the damage and I cannot see the pub opening again for at least a week.”
The pub is owned by Punch Taverns.
