From a Baggie coming in peace. I’ve no problem with fans that go to the game. Not really a problem with fans who don’t go to games, their choice. But looking at the comments on here before half time sums up the ones I do have a problem with, the armchair experts. Every club has them, they listen to the game on the radio and pontificate on the manager, the players, the tactics. Somebody even said ‘that Beevers sounds a good player,’ how do you sound a good player? Perhaps the result will shut your muppet faction up for a bit. Freddy who? Lets face it, things went on behind the scenes that we dont know about. Iwelumo is just the sort of striker we have been needing for a long time. If only Carl Cort could have remained injury free in his time with the club, he could have had a significant impact for us at this level. Iwelumo is big and powerful, and although he may not be the most effective of players, if he can get settled, he will score us 20 goals this season. And if that happens, we get promoted.
Credit where it’s due, Neil Collins played really well.
I think it’s pretty clear now what the best forward line up is. Let’s hope Mick sees it as clearly.

Was a decent performance once we woke up, definately need a central defender as a matter of urgency, and play Edwards in middle with Jones instead of Henry as he will give us the drive and bite we are missing.

I have always been a supporter of Mick McCarthy, but have decided to join the sensible fans who think he should be sacked. My reasons are as follows:-
1. He picked a defence that allowed a team to score a goal against us. (What?? They scored 4 last week?? Really??)
2. He started a striker today that lots of us fans didn’t want him to sign, because he doesn’t score enough. (Chris Iwelumo) (What?? He scored twice today in addition to the two he scored on Tuesday?? Really??)
3. We never put teams away when we do get on top. (What?? We won 4-1 today?? Really??
4. We play boring football, and have no attacking flair. (What?? Both our strikers scored, and an attacking midfielder got the other?? Really??
5. He always starts Ward no matter what. (What?? He started Jarvis on the wing, and Ward wasn’t in the squad?? Really??)
6. He only plays Irish ex-Sunderland players, who are rubbish. (What?? He only started Foley and Craddock who fit either of those criteria?? Really??) (Okay, I admit he brought Keogh on as sub.)
7. He never plays in-form players, and only plays his favourites. (What?? He started all of the in-form players, and dropped Ward and Keogh?? Really??)
8. We will never get anywhere near the top six places with this Muppet in charge. (What?? We are in fourth place in the league?? Really??)
