Jewels appeal as home raided

wd2970603-sedgley-burglary.jpgThieves have stolen £27,000 worth of jewellery from a home in the Black Country.

A range of items including a ring, brooch and a watch were taken from the property in Paganel Drive, Dudley.

The haul was described by police as a “large quantity of jewellery” and includes a stunning jewel-encrusted gold watch and a gold ring decorated with a variety of different precious stones.

The burglary is thought to have happened between July 17 and July 29 and is being investigated by West Midlands Police.

Police have now released pictures of some of the items taken and are urging anyone who is offered them for sale to contact officers.

Earlier this year jewellery and other items worth hundreds of pounds were stolen in a burglary at a house in Quarry Bank Road in Pedmore, near Stourbridge.

Anyone with information should contact Brierley Hill CID on 0845 1135000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
