When an articulated truck over-turned, blocking three lanes of the M5 motorway for more than five hours, hundreds of Midlands motorists were caught in tailbacks up to three miles long. Fortunately, the driver escaped unharmed, though his cargo wasn’t so lucky - cardboard boxes were left strewn across the carriageway after the lorry hit the central reservation, and diesel fuel was also leaking from the truck.
