Yes a good season should be on the cards if we get a few more in. Tony should get them sorted on the field. Let’s get behind the Baggies from the off.
    Boing boing

I think Steve is right, nobody is expecting a result, as long as we put in a performance that we can draw some confidence from.

Seeing them against Mallorca on Saturday, I think Bednar should start on his own up front because of his improved movement and agility, compared to last Season. I was impressed by Kim’s tackling back in the first half, so I would definitely pair him with Johnno in the middle of MF. Is Meite fit enough?

It may a long day - but better a long day against arsenal than a long night and extra time against Accrinton….

This is the best time to be playing Arsenal,as they won’t have there strongest team available, so i believe we can win 1-0.

Come on all Albion fans lets get behind our boys from the start of the season right to the end.

We will finish above the Clayheads no fear.

Fabregas is out for Saturday, so all we need now are injuries to, Van Persie, Adeybayor, Nasri, Toure, Walcott, you get the idea…..

Seriously, we dont expect a result, but we want to be able to draw some positives from the performance and for players and fans alike to gain some confidence.
On another thread i hope it is true that we are interested in Boyd from Rangers, goal poacher to replace Phillips.

Bomber - pity about fabregas cos Jonno would have put him in his pocket (LOL)….

Boyd and Kevin Thompson would nearly complete our squad, with a CB maybe coming in on loan, but I think we can give Arsenal a match on saturday now.

I don’t think we will win (well not by more than 2 clear goals) but i hope we play to our strengths and give it a go.

I just want to add that happy_baggie continues to contradict himself beyond belief and the bloke is making himself look even sillier by the day. You say you don’t like it when we come onto your page and give an honest opinion (eg the clubs financial state, relegation prediction) but as soon as our reserves struggle against accrington stanley in the mickey mouse cup he is straight on our page with insults. I don’t mind mate just stop moaning at me when I am giving correct predictions. If you don’t like it may I suggest you do not post on foobtall sites. Apart from that, stay positive boys and stick together your club is going through a difficult time with the for sale board outside, no sponsor, reduced capacity, very little transfer funds an ever increasingly frustrated manager, you better hope Celtic or Middlesbrough don’t sack Strachan or Southgate respectively.

Remember our first season in the Premiership when our first game was away at Old Trafford, remember then, everyone had written us off to lose a minimum of 3-0. Final score 1-0 Utd.

I’m confident we’ll produce some good football on Saturday, the Mowbray way. For the fans who were lucky enough to get tickets, sing your hearts out for the lads, i’ll surely be singing mine out at all of our home matches!

    Conme on you Baggies!

Did you go last night? Are you sure you are the oracle on all things football??
Reserves, Stearman, Foley, Iwelumo,Vokes, Ebanks Blake, Elikobi, Jones, to name but a few, the only top name you dropped was Kites.
I know i said this yesterday but you keep saying you are rarely wrong, but thats twice in two days!!
And as you told HB, sit in the corner with your d hat on, and re financial advice, i will source my own alpha.
And if you cant come up with any new wind ups than the one you keep copying and pasting, take a deep breath and hold it…….keep holding it…..no keep holding it…..you get the idea.

8 - I will reply this once and then continue to ignore you…

Firstly there is a huge difference between your “predictions” (just the usual anti albion stuff) and me laughing at your shower puffing and panting to get past Accrington - and you didn’t play the reserves - you brought on most of your regular team.

I can prove that wolves were embarrassing - you just hope we are.

Secondly i have never said i don’t like people posting - I just find your repetitive drivel about Hoefkens, the west bromwich area, and our chances this season boring and choose not to engage.

Thirdly, why do you bother to post on here when everything you say is either a lie or childish nonsense ??

You mention reduced transfer funds - who says ? I think over 15 million this year following 13 million last year is decent investrment and makes Morgans spend look like loose change.

You then say our manager is “ever increasingly frustrated” - again, says who - YOU !!

I personally don’t mind or care what you say on here - i think you have realised now that we all just laugh at you anyway - your felow wulfies included.

So please continue - just don’t expect me to bother with you again.

    Look at this guys http://community.footballpools.com/blog/2008/08/13/tony-cascarinos-column/
Mr Tony Cascarino has excelled himself here and I quote “The biggest ‘home banker’ of the lot has to be Arsenal entertaining West Brom as there is no worse place to start the season than a trip to the Emirates. Personally, I would make West Brom my favourites to go down as after watching them last season I cannot see them being strong enough defensively for the top flight. In fact, I wouldn’t bet against them conceding a record number of goals this season despite their new recruits”.

    God i hate cockneys.
