Wednesbury far too good

wicket_keeper.jpgSolid batting from the top four set up a comfortable win for Wednesbury over Swindon despite 67 from South African Gerrie Smit.

Smit played a defiant knock in the middle order to delay things but Swindon were eventually dismissed for 180, in response to their opponents’ 228-4.

Neil Whistance (50), Tahir Mohammed (40), Pindi Matharu (47 not out) and Adbul Salom (47) laid the foundations for the Wednesbury win with a challenging target.

Aussie Tim Evans led the Wednesbury bowling effort with 4-44 with support from Bal Matharu, who claimed 3-27.
