Watch our the video of West Brom’s 2-2 draw with League Two side Shrewsbury Town.

Video journalist Richard Tisdale brings you the match action.

Record signing Grant Holt put Shrewsbury two goals ahead before two Albion thunderbolts ensured an entertaining friendly finished even.

Holt - a £170,000 summer purchase from Nottingham Forest - struck early in the second half, with his second goal capping a fine Shrewsbury move.

But Do-Heon Kim and James Morrison rescued the Albion with two quality long-range strikes.

Earlier, Neil Clement hit the post for Albion, but Holt was denied a hat-trick by keeper Dean Kiely.

i was present at the game last night and although these games mean nothing result wise,it was a worry on how easy shrewsbury played the ball through the defence on 2 occasions resulting in 2 goals,i know of the 4 defenders that started only 2 will probably be there on the 16th aug, but still, with the strength in depth (if only)should’nt we be able to cope with this,no disrespect to the shrews as they played some really decent football at times but surely even in a friendly we should not let this happen, anyway im off to cheltenham now…..boing boing…………………………………………………………………………………….P.S….nice to met you last nite Jarrod n WBAFOREVER see you at cheltenham

Great Goals, I went to the game all credit to the Shrews for some good football at times but some sloppy defending by us, allowed them 2 score 2 goals, which we should not have conceded! Confident Mowbray will sort it out!

I went and watched a load of rubbish. Waste of time and money we looked so unorganised. I know it’s only a run out but they could have at least tried! I can’t see what Mowbray got from this? Shrewsbury should have won in the end. Embarrassing :-(

Don’t panic. Yes our goals were Prem class and our defending was Conference class (sorry, no disrespect meant to the Conference.) But it’s very likely that none of this back four will be our first choice this season. This was a thown together mish mash of a team with two of our possible first choice midfielders unavailable through injury. I’ve seen terrible pre seasons when we’ve done well once the real thing starts and vice versa. The results of these games mean very little. Even the Wolves one against Wrexham.
