Driver hit by bus at station

A driver suffered head injuries after being knocked down at Wolverhampton bus station today.

A section of the busy station was coned off as police and Travel West Midlands officials investigated the accident, which happened at around 11.10am.

One onlooker, who asked not to be named, said the driver had been walking in front of a stationary bus which had then pulled forward and hit him. The man, who is in his 40s, was taken to New Cross Hospital by ambulance.
