Moore will come good says Miller

The £3m summer signing from Villa is hoping for a fresh start with the Baggies after a troubled spell on loan at the end of last season.

And Miller, who has partnered the England under-21 international in most training sessions during the trip to Holland, believes Baggies fans will see the real Moore this season.

“Luke has scored a hat-trick in the Premier League so he is a talented player who has played for England at youth and under-21 levels,” said Miller.

“It was difficult for him last season because everyone was flying when he signed but he’s a good addition to the squad and I think we will see a lot lot more of him this season.

“He didn’t really get a chance last season but I think he will do very well this season.

“The manager showed faith to sign him and hopefully we can play well together.

“We need to establish ourselves as a Premier League team and he’s the kind of player we need to do that.”

The clues from training suggest Miller and Moore will line up together in this evening’s opening friendly of the tour against Borussia Moenchengladbach.

And Miller believes the pair could operate effectively in tandem.

“I think we can be a good partnership,” he said. “We have a good blend, we’ve played together in training a bit and the understanding is there. He likes to run behind people more, I like the ball played to feet.

“We both have pace and hopefully we can trouble defences, plus we have Roman Bednar, Bartosz Slusarksi, Sherjill MacDonald, Craig Beattieand maybe other players fighting for places.”
