Albion keeper Michal Danek is setting his sights on first- team action as he looks to cash in on his first full season at The Hawthorns.
Danek has arrived in the Netherlands with the Baggies determined to step up his campaign for Premier League action.
The giant Czech shot-stopper has extended his loan from Viktoria Plzen until January and is now looking to push his claims for a place, as manager Tony Mowbray continues his search for a new goalkeeping recruit.
The untried Danek and veteran Dean Kiely are in the 23-man tour squad, along with young rookie keeper Luke Daniels.
With Daniels expected to be farmed out for a full season on loan, Mowbray is looking to add another potential first-teamer to the ranks, with Danek looking to make the senior spot his own.
He said: “I will do my best. To play in the Premier League is a dream for lots of players from around the world.
“I would like to make the dream come true for myself. I will work hard and fight to become the No.1 choice.
“I am glad that coach Mowbray gave me a chance. I want to impress in England, such a chance might not come again.”
Mowbray is considering a season-long loan for a Premier League keeper but one potential target, Tottenham’s Paul Robinson, has made it clear he is not keen on a move to the Baggies.
The former England man is expected to leave White Hart Lane but has set his sights on a move to an established Premier outfit.
Mowbray has been linked againwith a move for Scott Carson, the England international and former Villa loanee who is surplus to requirements at Liverpool.

Go get Carson then!! Stop talking about it, if you want him that much, sort it out!!
Only problem I can see with Carson is that he’s a shot stopper (no references to Nico Krancjar required) and doesn’t command his box enough. That was the problem last season with Deano, still an excellent shot stopper, but silly goals conceded from set pieces as the Keeper didn’t commmand his area well enough
iv been looking forward to this guy playing for ages, i thought he was going to replace kiely when he first signed but ended up playing 2nd role. hopefully his worth every penny.
For Jeffs sake just go and get Carson! We really shouldn’t be beaten to a player by stoke! He could join A/ a turgid team of hoofers, or B/ a fine footballing team with an inspirational manager… probably the finest young english manager around. Unless once again Tony has anothe gem hidden away? However keeper is one of those positions where it is preferable to speak english to avoid mix ups. In ToMo we trust.
