Harriers reject Saddlers Penn bid

russell-penn.jpegKidderminster claim they have rejected a bid from Walsall for midfielder Russell Penn.

Harriers claim the Saddlers lodged an offer for the England C international that has been turned down by the Blue Square Premier outfit.

Sources at Walsall admit contact was made with the Harriers about Penn but deny a bid has been made.

Harriers chairman Barry Norgrove said: “We received an offer from Walsall for Russell but it was nowhere close to matching our valuation of the player.

“He’s one of our best players and has also performed excellently for the England C team last season.

“We didn’t think the bid reflected his ability.”

Penn has made 129 appearances at Aggborough since his arrival in 2005.

I have it on good authority that Bonser offered a bag of pork scratchings & 2 return tickets to Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley Railway.

He’s offered Penn’s family 2 tickets to the pantomine, starting August and finishing in May, any extension is naive.

He might be worth looking at
Ince would have kept him at the Dons if he hadnt gone to Blackburn

    no matter
if he can do a job for us!

Anyone who has seen the Harriers recently will agree I am sure that Russ Penn is a very good player indeed; and would be an excellent signing for us.
