Kidderminster claim they have rejected a bid from Walsall for midfielder Russell Penn.
Harriers claim the Saddlers lodged an offer for the England C international that has been turned down by the Blue Square Premier outfit.
Sources at Walsall admit contact was made with the Harriers about Penn but deny a bid has been made.
Harriers chairman Barry Norgrove said: “We received an offer from Walsall for Russell but it was nowhere close to matching our valuation of the player.
“He’s one of our best players and has also performed excellently for the England C team last season.
“We didn’t think the bid reflected his ability.”
Penn has made 129 appearances at Aggborough since his arrival in 2005.

I wonder how much?
I have it on good authority that Bonser offered a bag of pork scratchings & 2 return tickets to Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley Railway.
i think it was £15 plus £3 if he plays all season
£500 max
I wonder how little?
i have it on good authority that it was 100k
A bag of balls ?
Bag of sweets more like.
Don’t be mad Chad… you know Bonser would go that far, I meen a whole bag of sweet….. come on.
He’s offered Penn’s family 2 tickets to the pantomine, starting August and finishing in May, any extension is naive.
Coiln Cameron releasd by MK Dons
He might be worth looking at
Ince would have kept him at the Dons if he hadnt gone to Blackburn
Yes he was with the Wolves
no matter
if he can do a job for us!
Anyone who has seen the Harriers recently will agree I am sure that Russ Penn is a very good player indeed; and would be an excellent signing for us.
Havent laughed so much in yonks..I think the clincher will be a family season ticket so we gat a new player and more bums on seats - Bonsers not daft…lol
