Sullivan held over assault

The co-owner of Birmingham City Football Club has been arrested over claims he sexually assaulted a woman.

Multi-millionaire David Sullivan, 59, has been released on bail after a 25-year-old told police in Essex that she had been attacked.

A statement released by the club said: “David Sullivan confirms that he voluntarily attended a police station yesterday following an allegation made against him and gave a 30-minute interview. He categorically denies the allegation.”
