Manufacturing company SAS International has officially opened a 40,000 sq ft extension at its Oldbury factory.
The company, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of metal ceilings, doors, and partitions, celebrated the opening of the extension at its Apollo Park site yesterday.
Apollo Park has replaced SAS International’s former factory at Kelvin Way in West Bromwich.
The new factory now has roughly twice the floor space.ÊThere are currently over 100 people employed at Apollo Park with the potential for other jobs being created in future. Steve Horner, SAS Apollo Park factory director, said: “This is a very exciting day in the continuing development of SAS as it celebrates both our company’s continued growth and expanding product range, as well as the strength of British manufacturing.
“When we realised we needed a larger resource than we had at Kelvin Way, we felt that it was vital to our staff and the local economy that we remain in this area.”
