Strike ace insists he’s not moving

ebanksblake2.jpgSylvan Ebanks-Blake has again pledged his loyalty to Wolves despite continued speculation over his future.

The Championship Golden Boot winner has been linked with a move to Everton, with reports saying Wolves have turned down a £3.5m bid from Everton and want £5m.

This has been hotly denied by Molineux chief executive Jez Moxey, who is anxious to keep the club’s young and hungry brigade together for another promotion assault next season.

And today Ebanks-Blake said he fully expects to be at Wolves next season as he prepares to return to Compton for the start of pre-season training on Monday.

“I’m a Wolves player and that’s what I’m gearing up to before we’re back in for the start of pre-season training on Monday,” said the striker, who scored 23 League goals in 2007-08.

“Hopefully we can kick on and better what we did last season. For me, the speculation is always there especially if you’re scoring goals, but I’m a Wolves player as it stands and I’m gearing up for a big season.

“Promotion is the aim. Wolves is a massive club that should be in and about the promotion places and now it’s time to get to the next level and take automatic promotion or if not, the play-offs and that’s what we’re gearing up to do.”

Ebanks-Blake has been shaping for the new campaign at a health spa in Hertfordshire with the help of former Wolves striker Jon Goodman, now a personal trainer.

“Last year it gave me a real boost at the start of the season and if it can have the same influence again it will provide me with a real kickstart, so for me, it’s a no-brainer,” he added.

“Don Goodman has helped me all the way through and I had a good year and it’s a case of keeping it up.”
