Scholar Walters joins Cradley

walters.jpegChasetown midfielder Marlon Walters has joined Midland Alliance club Cradley.

His move will come as a shock, joining a club who have just been reprieved from relegation, as Hucknall Town were also interested in the former Wolves man.

The player is believed to have wanted to play more locally, which was a factor in his decision to join Marcus McDonald’s side.

McDonald said: “Marlon came to my attention from one of my players.

“Credit to the lad, he knew we couldn`t compete financially with the Hucknalls and Chasetowns of this world.

“He gave me the chance to come up with a package that suited both parties, as he is about to become a father and needs to be playing more locally.”
