The Sunday market which attracts up to 20,000 visitors at Walsall FC each weekend is to be extended for another 15 years, it was revealed today.
Club bosses have reached agreement with LSD Promotions to continue operating stalls on the surrounding car park area until 2023.
The Sunday Market has been run by LSD Promotions since 1993, regularly attracting thousands of people.
Saddlers’ commercial director Roy Whalley said: “It is comforting to know that it will remain in good hands for the next 15 years.”
LSD promotions director Dermot McGillicuddy said:
“We took over the running of the market 15 years ago when it was going through a difficult time.
“Through a lot of hard work from so many people it has become the thriving market we see today.
“We have enjoyed tremendous loyalty from the 200 or so stall holders, many of whom have been with us since 1993.”
