Birmingham manager Alex McLeish has made a move for Czech Republic striker Jan Koller - according to the player’s agent.
The 35-year-old Nurnberg hitman is currently representing his country at Euro 2008 and is believed to be available on a free transfer, after his club were relegated from the Bundesliga.
He only joined them in the January transfer window, making 14 appearances and scoring twice, but has a wealth of previous experience across Europe.
The 6ft 7ins attacker is best remembered for spells at Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.
But McLeish needs to be quick - they are not the only ones interested.
The players agent Pavel Paska said: “Two clubs have shown an interest, Krylia Sovetov Samara and Birmingham.”
