Wolves’ pursuit of Hearts defender Christophe Berra is being delayed by the Scottish club appointing a new manager.
Hearts turned down a bid from Wolves believed to be worth around £1.5m for the newly-capped Scottish international.
Artmedia Bratislava chief Vladimir Weiss, one of three candidates on the shortlist, failed to meet a 5pm deadline on Tuesday to meet with the Romanovs, who own Hearts.
But the player, who is due to report back for the start of pre-season training next Wednesday, is believed to be keen on moving south.
Berra is currently away on holiday, but wants his future sorted out by then.
Berra’s agent Gary Mackay said: “I knew Wolves were one of several clubs who had shown an interest in Christophe.
“They are clearly an ambitious club with a lot of potential. My intention is to speak to people at Hearts in the next day or two.
“Dealing with them is not always simple or straightforward because the people you need to deal with aren’t usually in the country.
“You cannot just drop in and have a chat with them.”

Lot of people on here spouting on about getting Jones signed up! Has anybody seen him? Derby friends of mine tell me he is shocking and that they cannnot believe anybody would be interested in signing him!!!!
