League harder than ever - Mullen

wd2813244jimmy-1-nb-23.jpgWalsall manager Jimmy Mullen believes that League One will be even harder to get out of next season.

The likes of relegated Leicester will join the third tier next season, with Leeds also in the mix, this time without the hinderance of a 15-point penalty. Beaten play-off contenders Southend and Carlisle are also likely to pose a threat.

Despite this Mullen is aiming high and is hoping to achieve what they fell away from in 2007/08 - a play-off place.

He said: “We had a fantastic season last season, but we were in the play-offs for such a long time.

“I know it fell away towards the end, but obviously that’s the yardstick for us.”

IF we get the right players in there is no need to be scared of any of those teams.

Jimmy Mullen knows that we are really going to be up against it this year. Once again there is no money available. This is just a joke.

Is this Jimmy way of telling us not to expect to much this season. So no money for tranfers again, So where has all the money gone that was promised to be spent??????? Same old Board

I notice the lack of comment space on the next newest story!! I have plenty I’d like to say about the ‘SHOCK’ announcment that walsall can only afford free trqansfers!!!

Re no funds for players - there is a reason these players are out of contract. Shows us the Money Bonser

Jimmy is being realistic - it will be a tough division to get out of but if we sign some good players then it’s not impossible. I believe that Walsall do have money for transfer fees for the right player but we don’t want to show our hand to other clubs who we might be buying from. Anyway, Yorkshire Saddler, there are some good players available on frees or on Bosmans - I think Josh Gowling from Bournemouth is one of them. Let’s see who we bring in - hopefully we will sign some decent players over the next 3 weeks and then we can all stop moaning and get behind Jimmy M. and the lads. Up the Saddlers!

How can he say that this division is going to be very hard to get out of. Now that he has told us that there is no money available to buy a couple of decent players the drop is going to be very easy indeed. Thats it. No season ticket for me. I’ve visited the Banks’s for the last time. Bonser, you are an absolute joke. I have supported you in the past, but no more. 7 above Saddlertd - you are living in cuckoo land mate.
