Legend Billy Wright’s birthplace on sale

Two years after his death a collection of memorabilia from Wright made more than £101,000.

Wolves fans and collectors snapped up trophies in the sale at Christie’s in Glasgow.

And in 2006 an England cap won by the county born player at the 1958 World Cup finals sold for £3,600 at Christie’s in London. The blue cap was one of the last of the 105 won by Wright.
