Legend Billy Wright’s birthplace on sale

The estate agents in charge of the sale are now gearing up for a rush of interest in the pretty cottage from football enthusiasts everywhere.

Wright, who was known as the Ironbridge Rocket, was born at the property in 1924.

The sports star, who died in 1994, was a former Wolves defender who made 105 starts for his country between 1946 and 1959.

His birthplace is now being sold by Nick Tart estate agents for around £275,000.
