Cyrille RegisRegis first came to fame at West Brom, where he was signed from non-league Hayes in 1977. Spotted by another legendary Albion striker Ronnie Allen, he teamed up with another black player, Laurie Cunningham, and then Brendon Batson.

    His goal against Middlesbrough is often mentioned but the greatest goal ever scored at the Hawthorns was his strike in a midweek game against Everton, and No1 Sherpavan, it was better than any of Pele’s. Honest it was that good!!!!!
