Wolves get minnows in cup

Wolves will welcome Accrington to Molineux in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The draw was made this morning with Walsall facing a tricky home tie with Darlington.

Relegated trio Birmingham, Derby and Reading will all face League Two opposition in the Carling Cup.

Paul Jewell’s Rams are at home to Lincoln City, Birmingham must travel to Wycombe and Reading make the trip to Dagenham and Redbridge.

Leeds United will take the trip to Chester while Exeter have been handed a plumb home clash with Southampton. Ties to be played the week commencing August 11.
