Classic night as Drifters delight

The Drifters have been music legends for more than half a century.

And the present day line-up proved they still had the magic of the original group when they brought the house down at Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall last night.

Huge cheers greeted the band on to the stage as they progressed through a back catalogue of classics. Dressed in immaculate suits the American singers sent the audience wild when they belted out the hit Come On Over To My Place.

The  group’s vocals and slick choreography was faultless and fans were soon on their feet dancing along to favourites including There Goes My First Love and their new release, a cover of Elton John’s Sacrifice, which will benefit the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby.

The band got a well-deserved standing ovation for the final track of the night, Back Row Of The Movies.
