Michael Kightly has admitted for the first time that there are problems to be sorted out with Wolves in a summer of speculation about his future.
The 22-year-old England under-21 winger has become the subject of relentless speculation, naming him as a transfer target for a cluster of Premier League clubs.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has swiftly dismissed stories claiming Blackburn, Everton, West Ham and Middlesbrough are knocking on the doors of Molineux for Kightly’s services.
An increasingly-angry chairman and owner Steve Morgan, more determined than ever to hold together the top young players at the club, underlined his “not for sale” policy to Moxey in a telephone conversation at the weekend.
But Kightly says there are issues to be resolved before the new season begins, in a response which will send a shudder down the spine of Wolves fans.
He said: “My agent is going to have a meeting with Jez in a couple of weeks. There are a few things we are not happy about. Hopefully, after that meeting, they can be sorted.”
Kightly is refusing to go into detail about the precise nature of what is unsettling him, in a close season of steadily-growing pressure on Morgan and Moxey to fend off overtures from top-flight clubs.
With Middlesbrough believed to be particularly keen, the most obvious conclusion is the player’s dissatisfaction at the terms of the new four-year deal he agreed last season.
They are sure to be way below what would be on offer from the Premier League and his agent Robert Segal is likely to want that at the top of the agenda.
Kightly has already proved one of the best signings of recent times by Wolves, after his rise from non-League football at Grays.

Christ! Maybe he wants some sort of buy out clause? My guess would be that we have an asking price of something ridicluous like £10m, or a gentlemans agreement (much like Lescott’s) that he thinks won’t be upheld.

He has signed a 4 year deal and sent the majority of this season injured. He cannot expect a payrise after hardly playing, if he does want out we dont want him, but we mustn’t let him go for less than 6 mil or let him rot in the reserves, if he just wants his contract tweaked for more money if we get promoted then fine but he must make more appearances, i hope he’s not getting too big for his boots, don’t forget if it wasnt for us he could still be at greys

Steve, Jez, you have to hold on to Kite’s. He will be a major factor in Wolves gaining promotion to the promised land next season. Sort out his issues and up his wages if you have to, just don’t loose another potential star.

The Moxey way of running Wolves has been sold to the supporters as building the club around young and hungry players. The alternative way of describing this is that we are looking for good players on the cheap. Players signed from Grays, Scunthorpe and Luton will not be on great wages.
The flaw in building the team up this way and promising jam tomorrow is that when the players do well and Premier League Clubs take an interest, the wages on offer are much more than Wolves are paying nowadays.
I suspect despite Morgan’s wishes that some of our better players will move on, and the three year plan under McCarthy and Moxey will have to start all over again.
Building for tomorrow is a dangerous policy in this game because as people who have been following Wolves for many years will tell you - tomorrow never comes.

He’s a great player there is no doubt but a bit prone to injury it would seem. He should honour his contract for another season, if he proves to be fit for long spells and on form then he deserves to be one of the clubs top earners, but I dont think he’s proved himself yet.

As a high profile manager myself, I can only emphasize that keeping players happy is all that counts. I treat mine like thoroughbreds, and therefore they play accordingly. Wolves should break the bank to keep him. If he’s insitent on leaving he can always come and play for the Mixres!

What did I say yesterday. It’s all well and good the fat controller getting into his defensive mode but ultimately it’s up to the player. Look at the Ronaldo situation.
Hopefully he will stay but it’s not the end of our promotion prospects, if the worse happened. Gobern should be back and we are linked with Hamill from Liverpool. Another thing we need to keep an I on is that we are linked with Westwood - the Carlisle goalkeeper. If true, I would have thought Hennessey or Murray could go.

Kites agent is just doing his job and Kites has a responsibility to get the best possible deal for him and his future. This would not have happened if Mick had not played him towards the end of last season. I said at the time that it was like putting him in the shop window.
The premiership clubs can probably double his wage so to all the fans who criticise his loyalty - how many of you would turn down the chance to increase your pay to such an extent.
We are going to lose him unless we pay him the wages and then we will be in danger of the other players wanting a ‘piece of that action’. Moxey has got to realise that if we get premier quality players we have to pay the premier price.

At the end of the day we own him for the next for seasons and we can do what we want. If Moprgan is as hardnosed in this business as he is in the construction industry Kightly will rot in the reserves unless a premiership asking price is met and we know that for a quality english player you’re looking just short of double figures. Some say break the wage structure but when that happens SEB’s agent and Hennesseys agent will be knocking on Moxeys door with ‘issues’ that the players have. This summer could get very messy if not handled correctly i.e firmly putting the player in his place. Fergie put Beckham in his place so Mcmuppet should be able to keep our lot under control

the only way to stop all of this is to distribute the Premier’s TV money more equally across the divisions. The Premier should never have broken off from the Football League in the first place 16 years ago. Wages should be cut in the Premier and ticket prices should also be cut. This requires government intervention. The role of football agents should be diminished and it could be argued that there shouldn’t be any in the first place. When did they come into the game, does anybody know? We should not break wage structures as it is the thin end of the wedge. The structure of football is based o n business and greed and it would be in everybody’s interest, including these rich overpaid footballers themselves, to change it. Paying people such huge salaries can only have a negative effect on the way they see themselves and it makes sure that they are separated off from the vast majority of fans who support them. I’d like you to stay Kites but if you go I’m not surprised. The question is whether there are values at Wolverhampton Wanderers for you that go beyond the lure of money. Do you like it here? have you got mates here? Do you like the way the club is run? Do you agree with Mick on the most important things? If you can’t answer yes to three of these questions, it’s best to go!

what can probs be that we took him out of non-league footy, that we stood by him in a season where he hasnt played that much cause of injury.
this time guys its not just the agent this is deffo the player and he really needs to think about things cause he aint making himself popular with this sort of thing

Much as I hate to say it…. if we want to keep him, and I honestly think he wants to stay, then we’re gonna have to apy the going rate. It is laudable what Moxey has done, he’s kept the club solvent but at what price. As i’ve said in other postings, money is the bane of this sport but if we want to run with the pack we have to be prepared to change our ways. I’m not advocating a free for all on wages but I think that players have to realise that some are better than others and therefore worth more. God it pains me to say this but if we want a premiership side we’re gonna have to acting like one with all the financial burden that entails. Mr Morgan we need your millions. To be honest these comments (if true) are no real surprise.
A footballer’s career is a comparatively short one and only the foolish would be prepared to settle for terms that could be improved elsewhere. I have little doubt that if the average supporter sitting in the stands was offered the chance of maybe doubling their salary then they would be unlikely to be quite so self-righteous as some on this site are appearing to be today.
Michael Kightly could have been a Premiership footballer next season if he had of retained his fitness all last season and the correct tactics and formations had been in place throughout the season.
I suspect there are also family ties that would encourage him to think about a move to a Premiership team in the South and West Ham (comparatively close to Grays) could be a very tempting proposition to him.
I would hope that next season he will be flying on our wings and one of the driving forces behind a renewed Premiership bid, but if this report is correct then there must be serious doubts as to whether we will ever see him in a Wolves shirt again.
Messrs Moxey and Morgan are unlikely to change their wage policy as this would open the floodgates to other player’s demands which could come very quickly afterwards. Wayne Hennessy for instance is now mixing with the likes of Craig Bellamy at International level whose salary, if discussed, would be sure to raise any young man’s eyebrows. I am equally sure that Michael Kightly has been influenced by stories he may have heard about on his U21 exploits.
A difficult decision for Messrs Moxey and Morgan to diffuse this situation I feel.

kightly is getting to me now a couple of months ago he said he still owes MM and the fans alot. which he does stuck by him through his injuries we gave him the chance from non league football, but he still repaid us yet. We nearly got in the play offs last season - without Kites for most of the season, playing not very good football in a very average league with no outstanding teams. We are making our intentions known in the transfer market and have some talented players to come back ie Gobern, Davies and Gleeson. Jarvis will hopefully be playing a full season. No worries!

Am i the only Wolves fan who thinks he is not really that good anyway??? In the Derby games, he is nowhere, his dribbling is erratic and i am sorry, give me £4m on a player bought for £50k anyday, Bully in his prime aside of course! I am Wolves through and through but Gera is a better player. Lewis Nytanga is available for transfer - he played at centre helf for Wales at the weekend and at 19-20, he looks someone who can come right in for a reasonably small fee and nominal wages and start as a first teamer. Others who have been mentioned such as Gerrard of Walsall and Williams now of Swansea will need time bedding in. And i do not care about rivalry, why the flip not Kevin Phillips??

This is the first big test of Morgan’s words on the pitch. If we can’t keep Kightly - our player with most potential, then we aren’t up for getting Wolves back into the Premier or build a new stadiun for that matter. We don’t know what his agent is going to ask for. If he is simply asking for an increase in pay due to his current market value I don’t see the problem. It needs to be a reasonable demand otherwise Wolves should and will tell him “no”. Olofinjana has been the biggest earner for some time due to his ability to negotiate sensibly. Let’s see what his agent does.

A number of points:
1) If you recall, Man U tried to hijack the Kites deal at the 11th hour which rather puts a lie to the argument that he owes us anything. If Man U were sniffing, it hardly suggests we were the only ones to spot his potential and give him a chance.
2) Yesterday, we were all slagging off the Gray’s Chairman…..the same Gray’s chairman who honoured his commitment to the deal with Wolves when many other Chairmen would have taken the better money on offer from Man U
3) Agents work for their clients and Mr Segal would be failing Kites not to get him a better deal. If 3 Premiership clubs are sniffing and the money on offer is substantially more, the agent would be failing in his job not to try and get an improved offer for his client.
4) If you read Jez’s comments carefully from yesterday, nowhere does it say that Kites is staying or he won’t be sold. The words were very carefully chosen and expressed in very general terms. Moxey is clearly aware that there are “difficulties” and that he needs to be careful what he says.
5) Loyalty! Since when has there been an implied obligation of loyalty in players’ contracts. It’s a short career and any club would cash in on their star asset if they needed the money. As others have said, few would put “loyalty” above significantly increased income and family security and we’re naive and hypocritical to think anything else. If Kites was your son and had the chance of promotion and a 300% pay rise, would you be telling him not to do it for the sake of “loyalty.”
Let’s get real. I want him to stay and would make him the top earner at the club to keep him but I wouldn’t break the bank and if he went, I’d thank him for the £4m profit he’d generated for the club and wish him every success for the future.

I would imagine he has had his head turned when on international duty with England, probably the same way Curtis Davis did with us. After a while some of these players start thinking they are far better than they are.
Just remember no one player is bigger than either of our clubs & can be replaced, very much like Koumas, Kamara & Mcshane were at the start of last season.

lets not get carried away with speculation. However it seems Kightly, his agent and Gray’s chairman are all after a pay day but lets not get carried away after all he signed a 4yr contact recently. It sounds so similar to Man U/Ronaldo situation (the best winger in the Prem has been got at - now the best winger in the Championship). I only hope Steve Morgan has the strength of character as the Glaciers highlighting their threat to leave him in the stands till the end of his contract (you can do that when you don’t need the money).

Two thoughts….ONE…..his injury problems maybe have him questionning whether he’ll achieve a consistent fitness level again so maybe he wants a bit of financial security in case it all goes pear shaped..? You wouldn’t blame him. TWO…..from his comments not long ago he’s another who’s fed up with negative fans giving stick to the likes of Keogh and Collins. They all see how fickle the muppets in the Molineux crowd are so it’s no use anybody moaning about lack of loyalty….

What gets me is that how come wolves as a football club is suddenly a feeder club to the so called bigger bigger teams. We get good players in aka Lescott for example and as soon as they get good they get sold. Now I for one dont blame Lescott getting sold, he did get us to the premiership but injury prevented him playing in “that” season, he stayed following season but it was not to be and I guess Moyes forced Moxey’s hand. Anyway Kites is good, but there is no way why he needs to be sold, we dont get any gain from it apart from finacial and we would be left with finding another players to fill the void “PLEASE NO STEPHEN WARD!”
If Kites is asking for more money then I think his attitude is a disgrace! If it wasnt for wolves he may well be languishing at Grays or probably in southend reserves. He needs to realise that Wolves is a great club, fantastic fanbase, tradition, and on the verge of something special over the next few years. He can be a part of it, he just needs to knuckle down and play football. Perhaps wage structure at the club can tbe tweaked but not wholesale changed otherwise you will get a group of players who then want to become big time charlies!

Alot of prejudgement going on here…all speculation, and 105, you’ve fallen into the media trap by the looks of it.
Let the club sort it out. Every player has his price…Ronaldo’s is more than our squad, Kights is somewhat less but 6-7 million would be a great deal for a player attracting attention, if it should happen.
Its would finance our promotion push, Berra and all other targets. It would be sound business. But no-one wants to see him go anywhere of course.

The word FICKLE comes to mind. The newspaper prints what it will, some of you automatically believe it immediately, and start crucifying a player who has always shown his loyalty to the club. Who knows whether he has said anything? Who knows whether his agent is trying for a bit of extra cash for himself? (Those poor old agents, working their fingers to the bone for pittances.)
Let’s not go knocking a kid who yesterday was the greatest thing since sliced bread. (except to 90-Newport away, who is obviously a WUM who knows nothing about football.) It may well be true that this has not been said, and if it was raised it may have been misquoted or taken out of context. Time will tell. Perhaps its nothing to do with money, or his agent. MM,s not bad at spotting youngsters and bringing them in and getting them to play as a team together. Perhaps its the fans that are making him unhappy with the moaning and groaning, what ever we post, what ever we say will not make much difference to the business side at Wolves, so lets all get together, whatever happens and support the team MM puts out, you never know it might just help, might make some of our players feel a bit more loyal.

following my comment (63 Mark Andrews) when will people get together and address the real problems in football today? We need to stop directing anger towards Morgan or Kitely or McCarthy and together put pressure on the government to intervene and put a stop to the enormous wages and ticket prices. It is only by doing this that the Premier will become a more competitive division and teams in lower divisions will be able to keep their best players. This involves getting together for a huge demonstration in Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square or Wembley to put these issues on the national agenda. When are we going to wake up and save out beautiful game?

The season 2007/ 2008 has been yet another boring, low scoring and trophieless one for the ‘massive’ West Midlands outfit. To be honest if Kites is unhappy or unsettled, he knows where the door is and we know we’ll be banking a few million from him leaving. I think his wants to move on to further his ambitions in his playing career and when clubs like West Ham, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn are knocking on your door, you’d want to move to play in the Premiership thats understandable, but making a fuss in the media isn’t helping his or our cause, i wouldn’t be suprised if we’d be booing Kites the next time he steps out at Molinuex wearing a different shirt. In addition to this, its not like we don’t have players to step up to his position, honouring the shirt has no meaning in these days, its all about money and becoming a celebrity to a certain extent.

The only actual quote by Kights is:- “My agent is going to have a meeting with Jez in a couple of weeks. There are a few things we are not happy about. Hopefully, after that meeting, they can be sorted.”
He doesn’t say he is looking to move. He says he is hopeful that the “few things” can be sorted. That sounds positive to me. The fact that they are “little things” would point at the fact that they are not insurmountable. The fact that Kights hopes they can be sorted in one meeting doesn’t point to him wanting to move elsewhere. He wants them sorting, and doesn’t even hint at demands to leave if they aren’t.
Don’t we all have annual reviews with our bosses? I have a meeting every year with my bosses, and we discuss things we would both like to see happen in the coming year. We are always hopeful that things can be sorted so that we can move forward together.

I think he is a star for the future but like all young players once they get called up in the England International set-up and speak to Premiership players regarding salaries they become very unsettled, I remember talking to Bryan Robson about it when he first got called up for England and the Liverpool and London based players mocking him about his salary. Wolves should say ‘you signed the contract and you should honour it !!’.

I have met kites recently and do not think he is the sort of person who would leave us because he wants more money. If he is unhappy then there is no point him being at wolves as he wouldnt play or he wouldnt play his best. I am a 100% kightly fan and would absolutely hate him to leave. But he gotta do what he feels right.
There is still a possibility that all this is being exaggerated and that kites is staying. Lets hope.

If our `best player` leaves for whatever reason, bon voyage Others will come. If he feels no loyalty, well, that’s the modern game. He is only looking after his own interests for the future. Even Manchester United are experiencing their players being unsettled. It’s the modern business and it is not going to improve. The old days and ways are gone. Our most loyal players have been the lads brought through the youth teams; let’s hope Gobern is fit and able. Hope this is a storm in a teacup as he is a useful player.

There are endless discussions on forums and on five live about individuals and their motivations but there is never ever any attempt to challenge what is really wrong with the way football is organised at the moment, could somebody reply to this even if they disagree.

I have spent much time and effort trying to explain to the majority of Wolves supporters, I believe that they are normally referred to as happy-clappers, what the business model of this club is all about.
Of course this young man should be sold, it furthers his career in the Premiership, and WWFC makes at least £4M profit, any less would be shameful, but I have every confidence in Mr Moxey’s negotiating skills to achieve that target.
Thus, we will end a nice business deal, with everybody profiting, the player, Grays, WWFC and the buying club who can turn him into an International if they handle his career properly.
Wolves have become a natural nursery club, they have the ability to attract young (read cheap wages) players, who can then be sold on at a massive profit.
There is nothing shameful in this, and Mr Morgan has every right to make profit from his £10 investment in purchasing WWFC.

The possiblity of Fifa’s 6+5 rule has made Kites a much more valuable player, & he knows it. Even if 6+5 never happens…it will have focussed Premier League clubs attention on the best English players just in case it does.
Most of them will be thinking how will we all find 6 decent Englishmen.
6+5 is another reason why it is essential we keep him.

1. Stop all this “no loyalty” crap - it is a rarity, an exception, not a rule - football, like any other form of employment these days, is a transient one - workers have much more freedom of movement and will naturally go where the pay and conditions are better. I cannot see how you can blame the player or his agent for doing that. His agent is just doing his job and why should Michael Kightly really care about Wolves? - he was born in Essex and had probably never even been to wolves before he signed. He has only been here a short time so he can hardly have built up an undying affinity to the club.
2.Contracts mean nothing - Man City sack Sven, Chelsea get rid of Grant because it suited them, Mark Hughes says Bentley going nowhere because of contract and then he himself gets ok to talk to Man City - what happened to HIS contract? Contracts are purely for some form of financial protection[and to make lawyers rich]
3.Any club that is not in the top half of their premier division will always “lose” their best players to clubs that are financially and succesfully better off than themselves - Wolves are nowhere near the top flight - do you honestly believe we can retain any of our better players until we are not only in the premier league but secure in it?
As a Wolves fan yes I’ll be upset if he goes - he clearly is that much better than the rest that he makes us look a one man team when he plays - but that is because I follow Wolves with an emotion - The staff of any football club do not - it is just their job - you just hope that they do it to their best of their ability while they work for our club.

Do you never sign a contract without really reading the small print, and then wish you could change a few things later? Maybe he has done the same, and is now asking for those few things to be changed.
To crucify the lad, like some of you are doing, without knowing the facts tells me that some of you need to get a life. Let’s at least see how this pans out before we jump to conclusions that “he wants more money,” “he isn’t loyal,” “he is too big for his boots,” etc. The truth is that we don’t know if any of those things are true, and to alienate a player for no reason is just beyond reality.

I haven’t come on here to gloat. Kightly, probably at his agents instigation is trying to get the best deal for himself and before calling him greedy, how many of us wouldn’t do the same if we could?
With Steve Morgan, Wolves are in a position, as we were at the end of last season to say no to other clubs unless they’re offering silly money. No one is irreplaceable and players that have become legends in their own lunch time can unsettle the team. Look at us in the Play Off Final. The best the club can do is get top dollar for them.
Finally, I’ve got to agree about agents. As I’ve said on a previous thread, I wouldn’t want to see them banned, shooting would be much better. Seriously though, how about a rule which only allowed a players agent to receive a percentage cut from a transfer fee once every four years. If the player moves more often the agent only gets a flat rate costs amount set by the FA?

For all anyone knows Kites may well have on his list of gripes that like Steve Gerrard at Liverpool, he wants to be assured that Wolves will bring in quality players to make a real fist of it to get promoted - NOT a sprinkling of decent players plus alot of makeweight less than average cheapos that can run around all day long achieving nothing but a sweaty shirt! (better off using our own home grown youngsters than buying the likes of N Collins etc)

Mulgrew at Southend not as good as George Elokobi? D Jones at Cobblers not better than S Ward wide left? Mark Little not better kept at the club to keep K Foley on his toes and played when required instead of N Collins?
Not wishing to add to the Freddie debate but IF we had Freddie watched several times - would it not be obvious that he was the wrong type of striker for MM’s so called tactics? and someone more like Stern John type was required to play alongside SEB??? (Hold the ball up and retrieve from midfield type?)
EVERY club has injuries - the balance of players available were simply NOT good enough - the central defence could not cope in MM’s first season - and our onw home grown young and hungry were sent away with no chance to shine at their own club?
If Kites wants to leave for financial reason let him go for Top Dollar, If not, we need better to compete and the addition of our own home grown to make up the squad; where there is an abundance of players in one position; yes loan them out If not let them stay and give them a chance instead of sending them out on loan and using the likes of S Ward at left wing (It was not his fault, but it must have been soul destroying for the lad who tried hard but simply cant play wide left!)

Gleeson was in out the team at Stockport this season and is nowhere ready yet.
Mulgrew is great going foward but useless as a defender many Southend fans have said that, no where as good as Big George.
Little is a great prospect and like Jones 1st team football last season will be a benefit for us this season.

217 - Elokobi also had his critics when he was at Colchester - only difference is that Mulgrew plays regularly at Scottish U21 level and never really given a chance - the point was that youngsters sent out on loan - hardly given a chance and we play N Collins and S Ward totally out of position when someone else like D Jones and M Little would have been far better here than at Cobblers
Some fans we know at Stockport are more than pleased with Gleeson - the likes of D Potter did not much of anything - but could get a game
NB* the point really is that we badly need some quality not quantity - having more of quality opposed to “they put in a shift” types is paramount - there are plenty of talent in the lower leagues that can dribble rings around our wannebe “put in a shift” lot - just a question of getting them in and soon!

spot on i totally agree re our younger players,freddie,defence, out of position etc.
i was like a broken record going on about all of the above and more last season.
last summer i thought great we would buy quality not quantity, was dead chuffed when we got freddie, foley and jarvis seemed good additions. but i do feel we could have doen the same if not better with many of our own younger players who were farmed out here there and everywhere.
look who we are going for so far at the moment. how much are we willing to spend on lafferty 2,3 or 4 million does anyone else think this is good value for money.
the young lad berra seems a great prospect has been hearts captain just promoted to scotland squad and has played well this season but in a very poor hearts team. but there we are offering 1.5 million+. hearts will sell for about 2 million.
at least we have got rid of some of the rubbish now but i could of added a few more names to the free transfer list.
we need quality!!!! not huff n pufers who run about to now avail.
we can’t afford for mick to keep squandering money like previous managers a lot of his buys ahve fankly ben not up to it and were a waste of money.

mark andrews, I agree with nearly all your points. Unfortunately we cannot turn back the clock. The rich clubs , one of which could have been us until the disasterous eighties, and Sky TV have far too much political clout. The continental and Scottish systems of having two, three or even four big rich clubs attracting the best players in order to dominate the various domestic and European competitions is now a fact of life. Italy, Spain etc were doing this in the fifties. We only cottoned on in the eighties. Worst thing that ever happened to our domestic game for most fans, but also, in some respects, for the followers of the successful few, the best thing to happen. Look at the players and games you can now see on your telly or at a match; the best in the world! Personally I would rather be watching a competition where the likes of Burnley or Cardiff could occasionally win the league: a true fair competition but it’s not going to happen. Top soccer is now big, big business. We, the little guys have no way of making it a more even playing field no matter how much we desire it. FIFA are trying to address aspects of some of our clubs gathering all the available talent at the moment.I will be interested to see whether they are successful and I wonder why they chose to do this now rather than in the years when Spain and Italy garnered all the great players to their top teams. It is a heatbreaker to those of us old enough to remember different and, in competitive ways, better times.

MM seems to struggle to “control” players that are talented or have strong leadership qualities - so the perpetual lesser knowns and cheapo’s always get the nod from Moxey and the occassional decent player to appease us fans and sell a few more tickets!
We really need one strong leader - perhaps the Scottish lad from Hearts may be the answer?
The problem with siging young talented players is that you have probably got less than 18 months before the Prem clubs come sniffing - so the answer really is to bring in better quality alongside say 3 to 4 decent experienced players who are ready for the bottom half of the Prem/ Top half of the Championship football; - Not players who are ready for Masters football and can run as fast as Moxey?!?
If you go for young and hungry - you also have to realise that if you dont go all the way and build a team that is effective around them - these youngsters will follow in the footsteps of Joleon and maybe others who are now looking at what Prem clubs can offer them - No matter how much Mr Morgan may protest that they are NOT for sale - everyman/ player has their price! Thank goodness is no longer just up to Moxey!!!
We also hope that MM reads up about football tactics for next season and does not employ this sit deep all the time and pretend to play “counter attack” stuff!
As someone else on another thread highlighted recently - our results against the Top 7 or 8 last season was nothing short of rubbish! WHY? Lack of quality, abillity, tactics or generally clueless in most cases! Money was made available - some good signings made but maybe the wrong players sent out on loan - for our money N Collins and S Ward should have been loaned out to a lower division club and Little, D Jones, Mulgrew given a chance to show what they can do - Confidence is key with youngsters - and they certainly have more pace than S Ward or N Collins do!
We live in hope of better times to come!

No-one can say we made him and he would still be playing in BSQ if it weren’t for us, Man Utd were in for him as well. Other teams have gone up and reached the play-offs without Michael Kightly, it would not be the end of the world if he did go. I would only blame this situation on McCarthy’s inept performance on and off the pitch last season. His signings, his team selections have all lead to us playing football in the CCC next season. Had he bought a decent defender or two at CB and not been so stubborn with his underperforming forward line at the beginning of the season then things could have been different, we will never know this for sure I agree but we could have found out if his attitude towards the players and fans been somewhat different
