Football stars in the making met a real life hero when he presented the silverware at a Wolverhampton school.
Villa star Curtis Davis gave out medals to children who took part in a football skills workshop at Coppice Performing Arts School, in Wednesfield.
The children lined up to meet the defender, who also signed autographs during yesterday’s visit, and were put through their paces by trained coaches. The day was organised by Soccer Star Coaching and everyone who took part was rewarded with a medal.
Davis said the workshops were a good way to get youngsters involved in sport. “It’s a great thing for the kids,” he said. “Some have never played football before but they have come along and met other kids and enjoyed their day. It’s been great they all had a smile on their face.”
