Marlon Harewood’s agent admits there has been interest in the Villa striker from other clubs - but any potential move will depend on Villa’s plans for the player.
Speculation has been rife that the 28-year-old is on his way out of the club and agent Phil Sproson confirmed there had been interest from Stoke, Fulham and Glasgow Rangers.
But he was keen to clarify that Harewood wants to have a future at Villa, after a difficult first season, so his departure is by no means a certainty.
He said: “It is a case of watch this space. Marlon has been linked with four or five clubs but, at the moment, he is going nowhere. But if Villa were to say he is surplus to requirements, there would certainly be no shortage of clubs looking at him.
“Martin O’Neill is not looking to get the player out of the building. That is what came out of conversations we had with Villa in January and nothing has changed - unless they bring in another striker of course. Things might change then.”
