Marathon man Dave Heeley looks set to swim Canary Wharf before cycling through London on a tandem as part of his next major charity challenge.
The heroic blind West Bromwich runner, who ran seven marathons across seven continents in seven days in a record-breaking mission earlier this year, unveiled his plans to compete in a triathlon during a visit to Walsall Town Hall.
He said: “The feasibility is being looked at because it might entail me swimming Canary Wharf and using a tandem rather than a bicycle but even if someone tells me I can’t do something I always believe I can.”
The date of his next challenge has not yet been revealed. Last week Dave, aged 50, announced he and sighted guide “mad” Mac Carr will be taking on a special Black Country challenge, racing after a bus on a pub crawl on June 1.
