So the club decided not to have an open top bus parade and the fans have debated the subject on this site for the past week with many being disappointed, writes Albion blogger Jarrod Hill.
Well there is no need to be, as many fans last week suggested we are a hardy bunch and just because the club say no the fans will party anyway.
So we have organised an unofficial Baggies bloggers promotion/champions party and everyone is welcome.
A few weeks ago some of the regular bloggers on this site got together for a few drinks and plenty of banter and it made for a great night, with walsallterrybaggie and Happy_Baggie providing the laughs and wbaforever providing the banter, the beers went down a treat and we all had a laugh.
It is going to be held at The Vine Pub in West Bromwich on June 6th starting at 7pm. All are welcome and if you would like to attend just leave me a blog message at the bottom of this page (just to give me an idea of numbers, you can still attend).
The players might be busy getting a tan, the chairman might be busy counting his money, and let’s hope Mowbray is busy planning our assault on the Premiership, but they cannot stop us celebrating what has been a wonderful season.
There will be no trophy and no bus tour, but there will be plenty of beer, laughs and banter.
If you want to meet the people with whom you have been conversing with all season, or just want to meet the local legend that is Terrywalsallbaggie, then I will see you there.

Not having a dig but i am very disappointed in your club for not doing the parade bit to thank the fans that have spent their hard earned cash on tickets, shirts and other club mechandise, and also to give the fans the chance to see and cheer on their heroes and idols, this simple gesture of donating 1 evening of their time would have been priceless to some of you and for that i feel sorry for you all.dont let it spoil your celebrations, all the best

Wow, been ages since I was invited to invade France! D Day June 6th 1944 in fact but I was only 13 then so Mom put the blocks on that one. All the young French demoiselles were so disappointed, they’d not seen a REAL male virgin before. I’d be delighted to meet you all and I will be there. There are one or two minor caves though. Ah dow drink beer, it dow laik me ut all, un Ah bay verry keen on it. (Ah jus’ heerd me Granny Oliver, “Yow bay a reel mon aer Cyril” uz her gid me a cuddle). If you are all sincere in your invitation to Wolfies (and why would you turn down a chance to gloat in person)then I for one will try and get there. I may not be brave enough to wear my shirt but somebody needs to represent the Championship Champions 2008-2009.

Nice to see some success in the West Midlands for someone. Still we saw the best manager that we have had in recent years today at Wembley, leading a rag bag assortment out and almost turning over Portsmouth. Oh yes, the best bit, when Portsmouth were parading the cup, did you hear the music, yes it was “Hi Ho Silver lining….”
Good luck to the baggies, today was the closest that we have got to winning anything since Dave Jones took us into the Premier league.
No complaints about Super Mick, for all those tossers who want him out. You haven’t a clue, we are living on dreams and past history. At least the Albion have no history (apart from a little bit) and play for the present, that’s why they have been more successful over the past few years and I have no doubt that we will still be waiting for you if you come down.
