Wolves have released captain Gary Breen and made five more players available for transfer after the club’s play-off failure.
Jay Bothroyd, Rob Edwards, Darren Potter, Darren Ward and Stephen Elliott have been told they can leave the club.
Striker Freddy Eastwood has already been transfer-listed.
Wolves will take up their one-year option on Jody Craddock and are in talks with Michael Gray, who is also out of contract next month.
On-loan Kevin Kyle, Darron Gibson and Graham Stack have returned to Coventry, Manchester United and Reading respectively.
Keith Lowe, who has spent the season on loan at Port Vale, has also been released.
Midfielder Kevin O’Connor will also not be re-engaged but will remain at the club until recovering from a recent hamstring operation.
A one-year option will be taken up with Academy graduate Matt Bailey.
Boss Mick McCarthy has ended a 12-year association with 34-year-old Breen, who he had at Sunderland and the Republic of Ireland.

thats 12 players youv just got rid off 13 with freddie, cant wait to see who comes in,boing boing
Well Mick has included Elliot and Darren Ward on the list so hats off to him for accepting those transfers didn’t work out. I am disappointed about Freddie and I also thought there was potential in Potter but otherwise I think the decisions are correct.
Hope we now bring in two good centre backs and a centre forward during the close season.
Still not gettin shot of neil collins? muppet!
Happy Days, finally a clear out of the defense, let hope we actually come up with some decent replacements!
ive come up with a great idea to save you money, instead of expanding molinux why dont you ground share with walsall, boing boing going up the MOWBURY WAY
Only surprise is Rob Edwards - would have thought he would be kept.
Looks like the cull has started 12 players lets hope they all get replaced with a better quality off player although i don’t agree with all of them but at least the academy kids are still with us lets hope they now get their chance heres to 2008/09 lets live in hope hopefully exciting times ahead.
At last we are clearing out the deadwood although 1 or 2 names are surprisingly missing from that list.
Rob Edwards going is a bit of a surprise but the others, well they won’t be missed!
Let’s hope we have some decent, better players lined up and not like last time, players who could not get into other team’s squads!
I would still like to see McCarthy’s name on that list though!
What about Collins?
At least MM has seen sense and kept Craddock!
perhaps mick has finally seen the error of his ways and cash must be available otherwise these players wouldnt of been released.micks decision has surprised me greatly
Good all named need to go asap
Strewth!! never expected that! has MM had a lobotamy???? 1 or 2 of his “favourites” in there, lets hope he can replace them with a bit of quality and pace.
Seems good to me. No doubt the moaners won’t like something though. But they simply can’t be pleased.
Well, well, well……is MM going to come out and admit his mistakes over that little lot, that they aren’t good enough??
Big surprise, good way of softening the blow on the fans with regards to Eastwood, apparently going to Covenrty for £2 Million. Cannot otherwise understand his motives unless he has a huge kitty, but somehow I doubt it. Please don’t bring in the same old mediocrity that you are throwing out.
Just two more Collins and S Ward please
No surprise there then,Elliot,Ward,Potter very disappointing and with Eastwood not being giving a decent run in the team, thats 4 million plus wages that was wasted at the start of last season.Coupled with the fact that Morgan stated that top 6 was the minium requirement, how on earth has MM managed to keep his job?Ince will probably be snapped up by QPR.We are a shambles, plain and simple and are going nowhere.Who in their right mind is going to want to buy any of that lot?Eastwood maybe but the rest?
14
Just the response I would expect from you.
10) Mick is too old and stubborn to learn the error of his ways.
A clear out is very much needed though and this is a first good step, not sure how many takers we will get for them though and would have liked a couple of others to be added.
It’s about time Breen was released. Too slow for me and wanted the ball too much in defence. Would be nice to see MM get in some young, quick central defenders to cope with the pacey forwards were going to come up against next season!
Shame to see D.Ward told to leave, but ive alwats been a fan of his!
Unfortunate that S.Ward is not one of the Transfer Listed players, he is just not good enough!
They Haven’t Gone Yet!!!!
Look, these players have only been made available!!!
They are still on contracts (apart from Breen) Can you see anyone coming in for them - Or offering anything near to what we have paid for them?
I am pleased to see this BUT it doesn’t go far enough for me - Collins, S Ward
If we replace these with numbers and not quality we are back to square 1. This is where MM went qrong last season, we had a young team with OUR kids and instead of building on it with quality additions we went for quick fix cheap options - backfired.
I would like to see 2 or 3 quality players rather than 7 or 8 average additions
onwards and upwards
Terrible decision to get rid of Darren Potter and Stephen Elliott, we must get Stephen Carr and try to persuade Teddy Dheringham out of retirement, also love to see Darren Anderton back, best midfielder weve had for many years
17 like a broken record.
Why on earth are we keeping Collins and getting rid of Rob Edwards??
I eagerly await to see how many appraoches we have for the players (under contract) that have been made available; I bet the phone is already ringing - NOT!!!!!
Remember gettin rid of mcindoe?? Isn’t his season still going on?? They will all go on to bigger and better things…
Sorry guys all seems abit over the top for where im sitting.does anyone agree????
i’d rather have kept either breen or d. ward for (hopefully) cover than collins. he’s a brainless defender. but anyway, this is all pointless unless we bring in QUALITY…not young/hungry/can put a good shift in… i dont care what you do/are/how old, quality is what’s needed.
13. Wolves9
Why can’t you accept that a lot of fans do not rate McCarthy?
Why do you have to have a snipe?
Do you not think that all the above mentioned players are better than Neil Collins? Do you not think that McCarthy’s management this season has been baffling and his dealings in the transfer market poor?
Say why YOU think McCarthy is a good man, why YOU think he should stay. It isn’t on to just keep banging on about ‘moaners’!
It strikes me that most McCarthy fans don’t have much to say about the football or the team ( with the exception of Brereton) they are quite content to tell people top ‘get behind the lads’ or you must be an armchair fan, etc…
I believe it is quite the opposite, it is the fans that watch week in week out, home and away that feel strongly about the direction of the club.
I want to be told that my analysis of McCarthy is wrong and that there is something I am missing, thats fine but I really do resent being fobbed off with c**p one liners and cliche’s!
100% agree with steve bull stand.
Eastwood will come back to haunt us you wait and see! When you spend that much on a young striker with a good track record of goal scoring then you have to accommodate him, as manager MM has failed to do this. He i feel has let personal opinions of Freddy shape his management of this player. You have to set your predjudices’ aside and treat him fairly. FE has been treated appallingly as far as i can see. He deserves better.
We’re desperately short of experienced players and we need to be able to attract those who understand what it means to play at the highest level and can lead on and off the pitch…so who do you think?
Football according to Wolves9:
“Seems good to me. No doubt the moaners won’t like something though. But they simply can’t be pleased.”
“14 Just the response I would expect from you.”
“17 like a broken record.”
Sound footballing arguments, every one!
Rob Edwards is a massive surprise for me.
All the more surprising due to the fact that as you go onto the Wolves homepage, theres a picture of Rob Edwards with Craddock, Kites and Henry under the heading “The new generation!”
LOL!
MM will either live by the these decisions or they will get him the boot. Fingers crossed We’ll be seeing the fruits in the new season.
MM IS STAYING SO JUST BACK HIM AND SEE WHO HE BRINGS IN.
To 17 ‘The Wolf’
We were a’shambles’ two years ago after Hoddle and Mick created a good side out of nothing so stop all the negativity.
I am sorry about Breen. When he was out we leaked goals and that cost us as much as having Kites out. I would have thought another year as cover would have been just reward.
It’s now a matter of faith. Can he get the players in to do the job? I believe he can but he will have to pay really quality players the extra to get them.
Another Summer of intense speculation, latent expectations and hopefully a growth in confidence….
God !!! he has finally got rid of BREEN about time ! Atleast he has offered Jody a new contract he deserves it ay it our kid!
terry CAMPION Baggie should’nt you be boasting what multi Million pound players are coming to Sandwell instead of watching what has beens are leaving the Mol. Must be “Boring Boring” in your town
thank god……………….some good news!!!!!!
Is that really Darren Ward ? I wondered what happened to him ? He was last seen with Lord Lucan.
Well fair play to you Mike, you haven’t kept all your so called ‘mates’. I’m sure there is still plenty to moan about, after all this is Wolves. Shame about Rob Edwards I think he could have helped at centre half, but if he isn’t fit its not a lot of help! 2x centre half, some quality in the midfield and another forward or 2, should be easy…
Well it’s a start anyway.
I agree with all of these decisions but maybe there should be a few more and maybe there will be.
Or even Mick, fair play to you Mick!
darren moores available from derby now thats the type of rock we need
28) Excellent post. I am still waiting to hear what this great guy as actually achieved.
All we hear is what he did for us two years ago and how much progress we made since Hoddle left.
The league table tells a different story.
We have a new DEBATE Why Edwards and not Collins———Bew-ilderering ??????????????????
WELL I POSTED ON TUESDAY THAT BREEN HAD BEEN RELEASED..GOOD RIDDANCE TO THE REST AS WELL. SO S.WARD AND COLLINS ARE STAYING..OH JOY!!
WELL MICK IF YOU WANT ME BACK ON SIDE..GET SOME QUALITY SIGNINGS IN, THAT WILL GIVE US REAL HOPE OF A SERIOUS CHALLENGE..NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR IS IT?
Wolves cant afford to buy players who have played at the highest level, unless they are 32 and need a top up to their pension, keep buying young quality players and get promoted the Reading way.
6 of these players were signed by Mick, at least he’s realised they didn’t work out, but also begs the question what was he thinking? Everyone could see these players weren’t up to scratch. The only one that beggers belief is Eastwood, why he doesn’t give the guy a chance is beyone me. The better option would have been to send him out on loan. If Eastwood signs for another championship club, he will definately out score Keogh. Hopefully Mick will sign a better striker to play along side SEB if he’s letting Freddy go. It’s promotion or bust now for MM but is Morgan reday to back him in the transfer market, when it’s clear he doesn’t know what he’s doing. All the players released were signed by him except R Edwards!
So we are going to write off at least a million on Ward, Potter and Elliot then, as we have no chance of getting back what we paid.
I would not have put Rob Edwards on the list unless it’s the injuries that are the concern. Why is Neill Collins not on the list. What a joke!
I wish Breen all the best. Remember he was the first signing and although he made mistakes, he put in some quality performances and helped players like Little and Jones.
Right get signing. No Irish or ex-Sunderland or Albion players please.
14 Glorybox said: Well, well, well……is MM going to come out and admit his mistakes over that little lot, that they aren’t good enough??
Surely he has done just that by putting them on the transfer list and/or not offering new deals??
5) We have got a quality ground unlike yours.
You should share with Walsall as you have similar levels of support!
We needed that clear out! Hopefully we can move forward now and get a couple of decent central defenders and another forward. Don’t forget MM has brought in SEB, Kites, Jarvis & Elokobi. If he can bring in some more of that quality we’ve gotta have a chance next season.
Made my day this news as, other than say r.edwards (think he’s better than collins) im chuffed with who are going.
but i’d add olofinjana to the list!!!
need a couple of centre halves, and a ball playing/attacking midfielder (keith andrews anyone??) and another striker id go for McLean from peterborough, one of kite’s old buddies from grays athletic!
and we would have a solid squad of 20 players then.
Very True 21.
Reality is that these players will have to be paid out of the Club via subsidised transfers / contract cancellations etc
A lot of people on here moan about Steve Morgan. We are very lucky we’ve got someone prpeared to invest in the manner he has.
Otherwise we’d be facing a situation like Forest, Wednesday, Leicester, Leeds etc etc whereby terrible transfer decisions virtually bankrupt the Club or start a slow spiral of decline.
Despite a terrible Season we are in fact very lucky
I can understand Rob Edwards going, too many injuries, the rest I have no complaints. BUT NO COLLINS AND S.WARD that would have made my day if they were on the list!
Freddy is going to be a mistake! Having said all of this, MM has kicked out the players he got in over the 2 years he has been here. A total waste of money. Breen was always going to go, a dressing room bust up as well as been outspoken recently in the press suggested he was on his bike.
Can anyone tell me what has happened with Denes Rosa. Not one of Mick’s favourites but not on the list. Has he had a change of heart….? Unlikely.
Good news at last, football is cruel and I think the message has finally sunk in with Moxey and MM.
This is not so much of a clearout of players but a message from Morgan that no more excuses will be tolerated, good on you Morgan.
I understand money is going to play a big part in the quality of players we can attract and afford, but we must not forget our youngsters who are waiting in the wings.
Lets no longer just talk about what we can achieve next season, lets actually produce the goods.
Is this the start of a stong period of leadership right from the top, I hope it is.
I wait with eagerness reports on new signings and the start of the new season.
28.
The man saved us last year from possible relegation material.
Managers need a chance to develop th eteam, and we do not have the money to replace everyone at once.
Agreed we have seen some problems this season but we are not privy to behind the scenes issues.
The team has gone down hill a little through lack of fitness and coaching, these two are the people we should be looking at.
Sorry to see Breen go as he and craddock controlled the guys around them, and if he did not want first team football all the time I think he would have stayed.
As for any other moves on the transfer front lets just see what happens.
If players do not want to come for what we are offering so be it, we will build a decent team but it may take next season to establish it.
What did Ferguson do the first few years at Man U and how much money did he have.
41,phil,is that the same darren moore that used to play for us,but we got rid of him cuz he was to old and slow,if so he cud do a job for you in the championship, boing boing big dave theres only one big dave
28 well said I am a season ticket holder for unpteen years and agree with you. I do not dislike MM as a person I dislike his managerial abilities, his lack of them in fact and thats why we are where we are no further forward AND he is putting up for sale players he bought with exception of Edwards.
So if you think he is good say why he is I wfor one would be interested to hear what he has thats worth keeping him
I’m sorry but Collins has to go. Or maybe he sits where Freddy sat? I can remember when Craddock started and I thought what a dross player - and now he’s one of our best. We’re certainly going places, with our one foot nailed to the ground. But glad he’s got rid of this dross. Can’t wait for the hotel - yipee!
marvin elliott from bristol city, kris commons from forest, a centre half from hereford, danny gabbidon and james collins from westham, frazier cambell from man utd (currently with hull) kasper schmeichel from man city (as wolves will accept 6mil plus from a prem club for wayne) these are what ive heard are in talks with the club, im very impressed whats your thoughts?
abdonwolf spot on with your comments about wolves9
does it say anything when 3 out 5 put up for transfers
were signed by mick last summer permantly to help us reach prem
does mick also realise the team on the pitch wasnt good enough as well.
i myself would like to keep edwards if he proved his fitness.
and where the hell is collins on the list?
Big Dave stopped the boggies at wembley!! ha ha, what a judas!
35,wbawilf,im just getting fed up of going on our site and reading about us being champions,id sooner come on here and listen to you lot whinging boing boing UP THE BAGGIZ
As for the so called progress since Hoddle:
2005/6 Finished 7th with 67 points
2006/7 Finished 5th with 76 points
2007/8 Finished 7th with 70 points
There has been so much hot air spouted about how bad things were when McCarthy arrived, but look at the facts, we are around about the same team and if McCarthy stays I think we will be on for more of the same again!
Personally I would rather have given the job to Chris Evans and let him play our home grown players. I have the feeling that he would have done too well though!
As ‘Accountantwolf’ says: ‘the premiership is not part of the Wolves business plan’!
It grieves me to say it, but McCarthy will keep the club exactly where they want to be, that’s why the club are happy to defend the indefensible!
Oh, and when the club go on about ‘automatic’ promotion and wonder why fans look skywards, it is probably because the last time they did that was 1988/9 so we will believe it when we see it!
28 Abdon Wolf : Its all well and good saying the pro MM fans are snipers, but the anti MM brigade are just as snipey in the opposite direction.
There are as many anti MM fans like Southbank Barmy Army who happily (as recently as yesterday) refer to pro MM fans as armchair fans.
Where does Wolves9 say he’s a MM fan ? Where does Wolves9 personally have a pop at you about your opinion ? Just because he agrees with the transfer listed players, doesn’t mean he is an MM fan does it ? and if he is an MM fan then so what, who cares, he’s allowed to be.
I agree with the list - and im no MM fan. The guy has baffled me all season, but im in complete agreement with Brereton with regards to quick fixes, the booing of players, us thinking we have some sort of god given right to be promoted, the general lack of patience with regards to young players like keogh - booed because the anti mm pro freddy brigade think an unknown quantity will solve all our problems.
And to be completely honest, I actually think its far far easier to bang the ‘MM out’ drum than it is to actually sit back, take stock, and try not to make the same mistakes that we did with Graham Taylor and Dave Jones.
Please justify why an anit MM fan is more of a Wolves fan than a Pro MM fan ? Do MM fans have some inability to not care strongly about the direction of the club as much as the anti MM brigade ?!? Crikey.
How’s about you tell me who is going to take over. Why they should get the job, Why not letting our club (for the first time in years) actually formulate a plan, stick to it, and stay the course would actually be such a bad thing ?
fair play to MM these needed to go
not sure about rob edwards but still i won’t miss him
I think I will spontaneously combust if I have to read one more post that says “look what Ferguson achieved at Man U.”
Thats why we have to be patient!
28
Suggest you read back on stories and you shall see I regularly make long comments on why McCarthy should be given a third season.
Now granted yes I agree my above comments are short and a little bit snipey and I apologise. I understand people have different opinions. It just frustrates me that sometimes even if MM does what these fans call for, they still don’t seem happy.
Clearly I rate MM but I do crticise some things, so I don’t see why fans who don’t rate him can’t give him a little credit when he does something good instead of always focusing on criticising.
As I say I apologise for the above coomment, been at work and only had quick chance to comment.
The reason I believe MM should stay is not because I think he is perfect and I too was a little dissapointed with where he finished last season. But some people are talking like it’s a crisis. As I pointed out before, i’ve been supporting Wolves for 20 years or more and whilst i’m not saying 7th in this league is good enough, in all that time we’ve only finished higher 6 times in the last 24 years, leaving 18 seasons where we haven’t so it’s hardly like MM is ruining the club as some suggest.
MM took over a team which had lost most of it’s first team players and did a brilliant job and as many say he over acheived. Last season was a little dissapointing and MM made mistakes particularly in the first half of the season, but I thought we really started to come together second half and show promise with what is a young team. MM now seems to reckognise some of his buys were below par and putting the players on the transfer list is enough, I don’t need him to tell me about each player and whether they made a mistake.
MM said when he came here that it would take 3 years and given the squad he had that is fair enough and I think he deserves 3 seasons, then we can judge him. He has a young squad, financial backing, a board wanting to make Molineux a top stadium and I think the future could be exciting. Swapping and changing managers just doesn’t work, look at the likes of Leicester the best teams build and give managers time in IMO. I also think the team should be supported properly by our fans, fans do have a right to express their opinions, but during games they should support the team for the whole match.
Anyway just a few thoughts.
How much money will he get for that lot?
Maximum £3million, it must mean that Morgan is giving him quite a bit of money to spend or they will sell one of the stars. To replace that many players means you can look forward to a busy transfer merry go round in the summer.
I know a lot of Wolves fans mocked us last season for selling many of our better players but we did receive £17million in fees that allowed Mowbray to rebuild.
At least it looks like Mick has seen the light regarding some of his players.
all the best.
Very good news. I’m glad to see that Mick hasn’t held back in wealding the axe on some of his acquisitions and redundant defenders.
With the numbers going out I am confident that the management team will have drawn up a strong list to replace them. I always felt that the Wolves squad was too big anyway when comparing them with opposition sides in the match programmes. A few choice acquisions and bringing in some of the youngsters who have gained experience on loan to join a what is a talented core side will see us good for next season.
Stand firm Wolves. Don’t let the buggers grind you down.
Hope Grey stays, but cannot believe Collins is staying…at the moment anyway. Truely shocking player and shocking decision to keep him.
The posts are fairly predictable.
Still this obsession with a player who doesn’t fit in and neverdid anything for us. The clear out is about right. They also point to the priorities, in the transfer market.
I hope Michael Gray stays, great pro, can’t play week in week out but still do a job for us.
Well done Merlin, about right.
48 - you’ve missed my point; there was a fanfare over FE yesterday with MM pointing out that he wasn’t good enough; ie he was singled out, but today, Mr Elliott in particular, has been told he can leave with 5,6,7 others with no singling out - do you understand?
No good just transferring this lot. Nobody will want to buy them. Pay them off and get rid.
Why is Collins not going?????????
Still think if we can get Stephen Carr, Teddy Sheringham out of retirement and bring back Darren Anderton from Bournemouth we are sure fire for promotion, I wont be renewing my season ticket without players like these coming in and I know many of the fans around me feel the same
66.
Sorry, I’m not going to answer all your post, It just becomes too much tit for tat!
I have posted the reasons why I don’t like McCarthy as manager (Many times) And who I would like to take over!
As for the plan, I think there is a plan and they are very much sticking to it!
Draw your own conclusions!
Comment not required
At last some good news, at least MM is owning up to his mistakes now… Cant see anyone wanting to buy any of them tho!!! Can see a lot of players coming in!!! At least something positive!!!
Has anone else noticed that Sunderland have released four players yesterday? Andy Cole, Stephen Wright, Ian Harte and some other over the hill waster. Whats the betting Muppet Mick signs at least one of them!!!
Dont get me wrong Im glad we clearing out the dross of our team but this is only going to be of any use if we replace it with quality!! Whos to say Mick isnt going to bring in more garbage like last summer??
I would also like to state that its disgraceful Collins is being flogged, if Mick thinks he is good enough then he clearly knows nowt about the game and I wouldnt trust him with a pub side.
Yeah that should say Collins iosnt being flogged!!
At least Mick has had the guts to list these players. Gary Breen…thanks for everything you have done! And I wish each of them all the best!
Well done Mick however, for owning up to your mistakes!
77 You just made me post all that which I put down before many times on other stories and you can’t be bothered to reply properly. Doing the thing you criticised me for. Well certainly shall not worry if I offend you again.
during the last world cup when england got knocked out, the day after (sunday) hoddle left and we were in limbo, players sold, no hope!!
now this summer, england not at euro’s but good youth system, money in the bank, a chairman who is forward thinking, and i expect a transfer frenzy, not after big time charlies id be happy with lower league players like keogh, kightly, jarvis were. there is quality in league 1 & 2 and blue square premier just got to find it!!!
70) We will get £3 million including Eastwood. We had a big squad last year but had loads of injuries and loaned out young kids when we should not have.
We will not have to spend too heavy and all we need is 2 centre halves, a central midfielder and 2 centre forwards.
Hopefully players like Little, Lee Collins and Davies will take the mantle.
We will be ok as long as Neill Collins is not on the pitch!
Had to be done……can`t believe Collins ain`t on the clear out list, he just can`t play at this level,it`ll be interestin` to see who he gets in, who ever they we`ve got to get behind them and stop all the moaning……….come on you wolves
70. Good words Bomber. I think TM made some very wise purchases and I wish you well in the premier next year (try and stay there so we can get some real local derby’s the year after !!). Let’s hope MM has now seen the error of his ways and spends wisely. I still think he should stick with his ‘young policy’ and continue building. Of those he’s getting rid of…surprised by Rob Edwards, but I guess it was down to too many injuries and Bothroyd….what a waste. Potentially that lad had the world at his feet. We saw what talent he had at times but unfortunately I think he thought that he was bigger than the game. Finally …. Darren Gibson - another enigma. I know lots of Wolves fans have been on his back but I for one think the lad has got potential. I wouldn’t say no to having him back for another season.
I think we all now have to patient. I don’t see anything ‘big’ happening until mid summer at the earliest but equally I hope we’re not kept waiting too long like in previous years.
Thought you lot wanted “A team of Gary Breen’s”.
Back-stabbers !
69.
Thats fair enough, McCarthy will be here for a third season. I think that is fairly clear!
I believe that he will achieve little, I didn’t want him here from the start and if we start badly next season then the fans will turn quickly and the club will be in serious trouble.
I don’t believe that any club with a serious plan to get to the premier league would be employing a manager that failed so badly with Sunderland and who has made so many awful man management decisions and transfer dealings.
He is a jobbing manager, at best!
77. That’s quite a conspiracy theory! Steve Morgan makes it very clear that he has ambitions for Wolves in the premiership. Everybody at the club is disappointed with the season but it has always been a 3 year plan for McCarthy and a long term plan for Morgan. I enjoy reading opinions on this site but I do find your conspiracy theory somewhat far-fetched.
LONDON WOLF..IF YOU READ IT PROPERLY I REFERRED TO THEM AS BRAIN DEAD IDIOTS ACTUALLY. AND I STAND BY THAT 100%.
good call mick, we will be far better next season ,just wait and see us fly.
would you a player want to come to wolves when youve seen how freddie has been treated?? any way there on a list they havnt gone. I bet we dont get told how much freddie goes for? why oh why isnt S ward on the list, this still proves he has his favourites. Sorry i just dont like MM, even if he won the premiership with us ijust dont like him. MM OUT.
74, I get your point and understand what you are saying, but I can’t help but feel like the only reason Eastwood was singled out and commented on directly by the club is because of the divide that has been created this season between fans/fans and fans/club over whether or not he should be playing every week. A feeble attempt by the club to get a few people back on side (good luck with that).
I don’t think the singling out of Eastwood for comment is a particularly sensitive move by the club and is perhaps unnecessarily harsh on the lad. However his move is already pretty much a done deal I’d imagine, so it shouldn’t affect his chances of getting picked up by someone else. If they made similar comments about some of the others it may harm the clubs chances of picking up a decent (if any) fee for them.
I feel for Eastwood, he could of been great, unfortunately found himself being used as a rope in a tug of war power struggle between fans and manager. Mick is not the first and won’t be the last manager who refuses to bow to fan pressure on decisions, whether right or wrong.
What I don’t understand is if McCarthy wanted to release Elliott, why did he keep coming back into the team?! Can’t argue with any of those going, except maybe Edwards?
Super Mick is seeing sense, But still there are people who are slating him. As for Freddy he asked to leave so Mick had to accept that. Same for Elliot and Potter. The players who evryone has been criticising are going so everyone should be happy and accept that Mick knows what he’s doing.
Good clear out although have to agree with 16 Wolfhound Collins and S Ward should have also been on the list. I would have liked to have seen him keep Keith Lowe,Rob Edwards and definitely Freddy, however if all these players leave it is gonna leave us with a striker shortage. So who on earth is he gonna bring in whose gonna be any better than Freddy or is Mick hoping SEB is gonna have an injury free season. Some of his ways of thinking just don’t add up.!!
am i the only 1 who seems to be glad breenys gone??? i liked him at every other club hes been at & also at international level - but hes not done much 4 wolves! i agree that we probably wont sell all these players but mm has made it clear that they are not in his plans….lets see what happens next…..
RF - are you TerryWalsallBaggie in disguise???
Interesting to say the list. Breen just had to go, he is too slow for this division. Lowe hasn’t really had a look in, so I am not surprised there.
As for the listed players: -
Eastwood - jury is still out for me; flashes of brilliance, but something just isn’t right.
Potter - he has potential, how he was not a better option than Gibson against the Baggies I will never know.
R Edwards - A big surprise, he deserved another season at least to prove himself. Played very well at centre back this season, and wasn’t given much of a chance this season compared with the likes of Collins.
D Ward - Average at best, felt he was made a scapegoat early on for Breen and Collins’ errors but didn’t really do anything to prove his doubters wrong.
Elliott - Good riddance, no pace, no skill, never did I see a defender look remotely worried by his presence. A poor signing.
Bothroyd - Lazy and egotistical. Did a job last season, and looked ok early this season; but his selfishness then showed. Particularly when he started taking all free kicks and corners despite being one of the biggest aerial threats. I can’t argue with this one.
I am stunned to see that Collins and Stephen Ward are not on this list, but signs are looking promising. We need a few quality signings now, and please no ex-McCarthy or Irish players…our two most effective signings this week have been SEB and Jarvis - spot the difference?
Plus please please please please please add Terry Connor to the release list. I am sick of the sight of him and his bloody clipboard!
Good start I think.
A lot of people seem surprised about Edwards but a clear out a centre half is just what we need. This opens up the door for Mark Little to come into the squad or Elokobi to come inside from left back. Craddock I thought would go in the summer but I’m pleased to see him stay and Collins isn’t as bad as some people on this board seem to think. Collins is only a squad player but is young and improving all the time.
Stephen Ward was never going to go and this constant moaning about him has to stop, he’s a young, hungry FORWARD who played his heart out on the wing where he clearly wasn’t comfortable. Ward showed how good he can be when we first signed him and he still has the potential to be a good CCC player.
The player I’m most surprised about leaving is Elliot. He showed flashes of quality when he was fully fit and, like Eastwood, never got a fair crack of the whip at Molineux. Elliot was made a bit of a scapegoat by the ‘Freddie Freddie’ though crowd and was never going to thrive at Wolves with that over his head, a great shame because we never got to see what kind of player he really is.
For all the people who have delusions that Eastwood is a 20-goal-a-season striker who will come to Molineux next year and ‘make us pay’ I’m going to make my own prediction. Elliot will go on to have a much more productive career than Freddie Eastwood.
The Wolf! What you on about? Wheres the spirit? I think you are a bit of a moaner. We dont need that so pack up and go follow albion!
shut up wolves 9. having a go unprovoked. you’re just addicted to confrontation.
here are a lot people saying this is a good move by mick and you pre-empt it with your mindless drivel.
Cant see why Micks keeping Collins but binning rest seems like a great step in the right direction.
Now we want some big guns coming. You are here for another year Mick, make the most of it.
COME ON YOU WOLVES!
C’mon lads lets get behind our players, we all know Collins isnt the most gifted, but we also know he’ll always give 100%, hes not one to hide. Although he does have his limitations I think he’ll be a decent backup to whoever we bring in as Fannys partner next eason, someone young strong and pacey hopefully. Stephen Ward is only 21/22 aswell, and was played out of position, I think we’ll see some good things from him next season if he gets fit unlike, this season when hes been injured fo most of it. We should try signing that young centrehalf from Chelsea whos been on loan at QPR, hes excellent.
wolves9
“MM now seems to reckognise some of his buys were below par”
therein lies the problem - many wolves fans recognised this before Christmas and it is only now that MM has discovered it! He is supposed to be the expert!
I just want to see Wolves being successful - whoever the manager is. And because of the desire for success it is frustrating when the man in charge of the team can not see what is glaringly obvious to most!
I grant you his 1st season in charge Wolves over achieved and the season was deemed to be a success. Then, for reasons probably only known to himself, he decided to change the policies that had served him and WWFC so well during that successful season by shipping out our home grown talent that had looked so promising and replacing them with his pals from days gone by who quite frankly weren’t up to the job.
Even when this policy was failing so spectacularly he stuck with it instead of trying to change things around.
I truly thought he had turned the corner and started to move back in the right direction when he dropped the likes of Elliott and S Ward (giving him credit there but am not sure if he would have done so if they had not got injured!?!) and replaced them with more suitable players. This resulted in a good run of results through February and MM being nominated for Manager of the month.
Then loe and behold they return from injury and he chucks them straight back in!
Bottom line is MM does not learn from his mistakes, has complete disregard for the fans (who at the end of the day generate the revenue that pays his wages), has apparently no man management skills or else the FE debacle would never have happened and is urgently in need of some PR lessons!
If he had included N Collins and S Ward in the transfer list it would give us some hope that we are really moving forward as these are IMO 2 of the worst players to pull on a Wolves shirt in recent history. The fact that he hasn’t means that myself and i think many others remain to be convinced!
not really good news is it, he’s only made elliott, bothroyd and d.ward available for transfer….doesn’t mean they will not be wolves players still next season because can’t see quality teams coming in to buy them and their ego’s will stop them going to 1st or 2nd division teams which is about their level on this seasons performances!!!!
everton will be buying a star player from us soon!!!
hang on a minute some players work out others dont at least he has admitted it and is changin it.hoddle had this club in bits after he left and mick is still re building.foley hennesy murray elekobi jody kites jarvis seyi henry seb keogh d edwards are very good players thats a strong back bone think with another striker 2 centre halfs and a midfielder should set us up nicely we are building a team of hungry youngsters with drive and ambition.what you fans want is poor premiere league players on big wages coming in geting us promoted straight away but who you no will just get us relegated and leave us with no money the year after.please guys we are building a very good team.also delighted fred is gone lazy and looked like he never cared never did anything special.delighted hes gone.keogh before him any day.
91 : South bank Barmy Army - Once again I am slain by your constructive, considered and well presented argument. You are a credit to our club.
Collins and Stephen Ward should also be on the list. It’s incredible that S Ward was given a new 2 year contract a few months ago! He is no striker, and as for a winger - what a joke!
But Southbank Army, how can you call people ‘brain dead idiots’ just because we support Mick?
You and I have disagreed a few times this season but I still respect your opinion, as you pay your money like me so have every right!
But as fans, we will all always have different opinions. Its just the way it is!
Cant believe the quality players he is getting rid of ie Elliott and Ward
Michael Kightly should be transfer listed, injured and unreliable, sell him now while we can can still get around £500k
O.K get ready for the Cast outs from Sunderland
to arrive come on Makem wolves,
S Ward Club Captain next year
Stopped commenting on here for a while. I still read the boards, but became frustrated.
Wolves9
Don’t let people push you off here like i’veseen them to thers.
They talk about snipes which yes you shouldn’t make, but talk about pot kettle.
Wolves9 along with Brerton and some others, including some anti-MM ones, make good well backed up arguements. Like I say Wolves9, couple of your comments at top are stupid but generally your one of the ones who’s comments I look forward to reading, so keep it up.
83 says…
“Well certainly shall not worry if I offend you again.”
Par for the course on this topic!
in brief:
Best to stay with McCarthy for continuity.
At least we have a plan, any plan will do, as long as it’s a plan!
McCarthy can’t anything right in some peoples eyes - He only has himself to blame for that!
Booing and showing displeasure is part of football for every club, you or I won’t change that. It hasn’t anything to do with posting comments on here!
Nobody wants to swap and change managers, but football is like that. If people could see that we are going forward then they wouldn’t be posting otherwise in their hundreds!
As for the stadium, thats what the Hayward’s said, and we’re still here!
I have seen nearly every match since 1973! Lots of ups and downs you could say!
I would Like Paul Ince because I believe he is on the way up and not on the way down like most of our managers!
EDDIE..THOSE COMMENTS YESTERDAY WE AIMED AT MAYBE 2 OR 3 PEOPLE..WHO SET OUT TO WIND UP THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE HAVING A DECENT DISCUSSION.
i dislike mcarthy with a passion..you all know that. but that’s my opinion and i don’t expect everyone else to agree with me. i do take exception tho’ to personal snipes and aimless accusations thrown at me for no reason. trouble is i ain’t offended, infact it makes for a much better and heated debate. the old saying..if you can’t take it..don’t dish it out springs to mind.
all said and done eddie, we’re all wolves fans who want the very best for our club. yes opinions differ at times but we’re all in it together and should stick together.
93
His name is Freddy, not FREDDIE !!!
The way he has been treated ?
Move on, Look how Crouch & Defoe got “treated” by being on the bench, yet would come on to score goals and make diffrence unlike lover boy.
This obviously shows Mick knows where we need improving this season and is willing to make a fresh start, cant you moaners do the same ?
Move on & get over it he will be here next season if we like it or not.
It’s time to back the team including Mick for the on coming season.
Gary Breen, you ARE the Weakest Link,GOODBYE!
Cant believe the quality players he is getting rid of ie Elliott and Ward
Michael Kightly should be transfer listed, injured and unreliable, sell him now while we can can still get around £500k
WTF!!!!!!
This guy is nuts!!!
Good list of players to gid rid of. Did anyone see Jay bothroyd on tv the other week with stoke celebrating, what a plonka!!!
suprised about edwards but i guess MM got his eye on some of the transfer listed players. It might sound stupid and its another sunderland player but nosworthy would be a good player to sign in defence.
Looking forward to who MM signs though
HOW IS COLLINS STILL HERE!! AMAZING
LONDON..YEP I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT..STILL CAN’T GET RID OF THE FEELINGS OF INFERIORITY AROUND ME CAN YOU!
I agree with everything Abdonwolf has posted today and don’t consider myself a rabid, anti-MM fan.
Like him and many others, I have nothing personal against Mick and although I didn’t support his appointment, I was hopeful of being wrong.
On the plus side, the first season was good but there was still evidence of problems for season 2…notably the appalling goal difference caused by a constant inability to score more than 2 goals in any one match.
Season 2 started with signing the “key player”, Eastwood that would take us into the “top 2″. If you recall, he had bid for most other top championship strikers by then (Sharp and Lafferty to name but 2) and I suspect, in hindsight, that it was a buy he felt he had to make rather than the one he wanted.
I think worries had set in pre-season due to an indifferent preparation, McIndoe going and Jarvis’s injury.
I don’t think my worries have eased since half time in the first match against Watford…the exciting, attacking football - such that it was - seemed to have gone and surrendering a lead and ultimately losing to a clumsy penalty set the tone for what has come after.
Like abdonwolf, I’ve stated my concerns before and won’t repeat them all but essentially, I believe he has the wrong skills and personality to reach the top. I don’t think he’s intelligent enough on team selection or tactics, can’t change a game mid-stream when things are going wrong, can’t handle team members as individuals, can’t speak lucidly to fans or commentators and can’t be honest enough to admit he’s made mistakes and give you hope that he can learn from them.
All managers get things wrong from time to time but MM’s stem from a personality that is not going to change! That’s why a “3 year plan”,”the hire and fire mentality hasn’t worked in the past” and “Who else are we going to get” are all irrelevant. If the man in charge is the wrong man, he has to go irrespective of what’s happened in the past or the alternatives!
90. Boris
Steve Morgan wants us to be in the premiership!
Few! Thats OK then, I feel better now!
Jack Hayward said that, how many years ago?
It isn’t a conspiracy, it is a very sad twenty year reality!
109. Eddie Wolf…well said mate !! We are all Wolves fans and we are all entitled to our own opinions. It is totally disrespectful to call someone brain dead or other equally noxious name just because we don’t agree with what someone says. Post what you think but do not get abusive because someone doesn’t agree with you.
I have critisised MM before but know deep down that it has always been a 3 year plan. If things go pear shaped next season then I think the time has come for a change.
It will be interesting to see what money is made available for players this summer and how MM uses it.
RF…. are you terry…….baggie in disguise ? If so, you’ve been rumbled !! If not … go get a life… or a frontal lobotomy !!
QPR have a lot of money to spend next season and who is at the top of their ‘wish list’?
Paul Ince!
Must be something wrong, why aren’t they after Super Mick?
Poor little dingles we have Jarvis who’s twice as good as McIndoe.
If i remember right he ripped your full back apart all evening(pity that was the only player that evening to do so).
There’s no pleasing some people. If we don’t get rid they moan and when we do get rid you moan about a waste of money etc. At least Mick is big enough to admit his mistakes and get rid of his bad signings.
Cant see the problem with getting rid of Rob Edwards, yeah he was a good player but always injured! Maybe Stephen Ward should have gone to but maybe he is going to be awesome. Will have to wait and see.
We have made so much progress since Hoddle!
Who can honestly say that they were happier with the state of the club when our team consisted of the likes of Postma, kennedy, Anderton, leon clarke, carl cort, seol and the missing piece of the jigsaw. What a joke that was.
Come on, the club now is so much better than it was when that prat Hoddle was here. There is so much potential in our team. Players for the future. Who remembers when we got Aliadiere on loan and didn’t play him for 4 games so we could save him for the play offs. That was great, only Wolves could do something like that.
Personally I would like to see Kenny Miller return. What you think.
I am glad he is clearing out his own garbage. But lets not forget - McCarthy decided to buy these players, and we will no doubt lose money on most of them.
Like Elliott. McCarthy has spend most season talking about how good he was, yet here he is, transferlisting the player.
I agree with the decision, but I am left puzzled by the fact that he has spend every opportunity telling as all what a great player he was, and how much he contributed.
So what do you actually think of Mr.Elliott, McCarthy?
I finally agree with MM on something.
My concern these are all players he signed and most of them last year can we be confident he can get it right next season.
This is my big concern with MM and why i think he should go 1 maybe 2 but 9 in just over a season. REMEMBER THIS COMMENT ” iwill not bring anyone to the club that is not better than what we already have” say no more.
69 Wolves9 .well said mate that should keep a few shut for a while.i also believe mm should get a third season building a squad to play as a team dosnt happen over night it takes time and mm always said he needed 3 seasons lets hope hes right and its third time lucky.cmon mick prove the minority wrong
121. It is sad that Jack Hayward only achieved top flight football once during his period of stewardship. My belief is that they just didn’t get it right. I haven’t grown so pessimistic to believe that the club actively avoids promotion though. I remain optimistic about the clubs future under Steve Morgan and can see that they are building a strong future with the group of talented players who have come in. You don’t have players like SEB, Kightly, Murray, Hennessey and Olofinjana if you don’t want promotion. These are ambitious players who wouldn’t stay at the club if the club didn’t have ambition.
London Wolf - congratulations on a textbook put-down! I like your style!
87. I agree with your views on Gibson. I think, for a young lad he definitely shows potential. I actually recently did a search for old E+S articles on him and found an article that I’d missed first time around. It was regarding the death of his cousin in a car crash. He seemed very close to him and he spoke quite articulately about what a tragedy it was. It makes you wonder what affect that had on the youngster in what was a relatively short stay at the club. Having seen him play really well in a cameo for Ireland, I was very excited at his signing. I still back him to do well in his career.
well I’m pleased with this positive move by MM.Posibly would have kept Edwards but he is injury prone and his performances have been patchy. He maybe feels Collins has potential, and will give him one more season to improve. lets face it he cant get any worse.
To me this clear out is an admission that he got it horribly wrong with many of his signings.Elliot,Darren Ward, potter, all previously surplus to requirement for other clubs and for good reason.Ward too slow and not commanding in the box. Elliot not good enough for the prem for Sunderland, and his scoring record not great. Breeny legs may have gone a bit, but he has played well when I’ve seen him and his influence in the team will be missed.
MM needs to get in some quality and experienced players to blend with our Young squad
127
Maybe he was trying to build a players confidence up. Which was at a low because of his treatment by some fans.
terry1YEARINTHEPREMbaggie, you should be more concerned on who mr punch is going to buy for your club, as you dont have a prem quality player in your squad, cant see you spending much if peace cant even afford to hire a bus .But dont worry i am sure you will be the best team in the league lol
No surprises there then !! He needed to add Collins and S Ward to the list !! Stubborness may come back to haunt him re Freddy !!
It just shows how poor Mick is at identifying the players needed to get us where we want to be, but I’ll compliment him on having the guts to get rid of players he bought in who were no better than the players we had here previously.
If we manage to get back what we paid for them, I’d be surprised. I just hope he spends more wisely in the Summer and he obviously needsto bring in several players now or we are going to be thin on the ground next season.
Just needed to add Stephen Ward and Neil Collins to the list and I’d have been happy.
130 boris
Lets hope he keeps all our best players!
We always do, except for:
Keane
Lescott
Miller
Naylor
Froggat
No were not a selling club, its a conspiracy!
Well well, after the doom and gloom finally some good news. Not bothered about any of those names really, not good enough to push us up into top 2 contention. This is where Moxey REALLY earns his corn, getting money in for some of those bar freddy. I could have got the deals for keane, lescott and the rat. Then again he managed to get paid for leon clarke and as bad as some of those names are there not THAT bad so should be a doddle LOL.
“Maybe he was trying to build a players confidence up. Which was at a low because of his treatment by some fans”
I never think Elliott was treated unfair by the fans. If he had actually been playing well, then I think most fans would understand why he was picked. But he wasn’t and McCarthy coming out saying he was doing great didnt help at all since most people could see that wasnt true.
I am pleased regarding the clearout but there is no pleasing some people.
It seems MM is damned if he does and damned if he dosent.
140
Your joking right ?
People were constantly on his back for the fact he replaced Eastwood in the team, and would get on his back over the littlest of things these “fans” were so horrible & bitter towards him because of this reason which is pathetic.
This type of treatment even if he is poor or not is the wrong message to send out to players intrested in joining us.
Glad to see that we’re actually having a clearout cuz our squad was way too big anyway and loaded with players who weren’t good enough. Well done Mick, best decision you’ve made in a long time, now bring in some real quality to go with what we’ve got left!
This is exellent news, alas some positive steps from McCarthy!! I’m really happy about this. I said in one of my posts yesterday MM needs to make big changes to get fans “on side” and this has certainly made me more positive about him again.
10 players could potentially be leaving, they are the “dead wood” at wolves, just Stephen Ward to go and it will be Super Mick again ……… maybe…….
Who we gunna buy
Future is bright again, he has finally realised he has messed up this season and is making positive steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Well done Mick!
138 Abdon Wolf :
Froggat, one of our best players ?! Dear Me, thats a good one, I like it. Ive actually got a t shirt that says “I saw Froggat play 2 games on the bounce”.
Miller - Can just about hack it in the Euro Disney League (SPL) and decent at championship level. No More than that.
Naylor - Did well for us, but mostly incosistant. Is not a Prem player.
Lescott - Sold after the inevitable relegation after Jones was given a “warchest” that afforded him Oleg Luzny and Steffan Iverssen.
Keane - Was going to go regardless, but we should have got more - granted.
Surely you can support the “promotion isn’t part of the plan” argument in a better way than that ?? I expect better from you !!
Come on, where’s the proof ? Where’s the secret recordings of Moxey, Morgan and MM chuckling to themselves at their deliberate failings ?! I can just see them back slapping each other now at how they’re stringing us all along !!! May be some of the players are in on it as well ? Ive always had my suspicions about S Ward, may be he’s part of the plan ??
I bet you though Al Fayed was bang on with his thoughts on the Diana case eh ?
TerryChampionbaggie
You really are a muppet - get back to your Sandwell Town slum, draw your dole and go and watch afternoon TV.Pathetic comments all the time !!!
Bye, Bye Deadwood and Eastwood.
Hello top two next year.
Touchwood
i see most of these signings are mad micks,if i was steve morgan i would not trust him spending my money.in mick and moxey we do not trust.staying down the mad mick way
148 - why do you and so many others continue to bad mouth mick? We are such a better club now. Its nuts that you can’t see this. Yeah so a couple of bad signings but give him credit: ebanks blake for 1.5m, elekobi and for goodness sake Kightly for 25k. Why don’t you all be quiet and admit that you are wrong about Mick.
148 and many others - what’s your problem. All you do is bad mouth mick. You’re wrong, ok he made some bad signing, but unlike others in the past he has now accepted that and got rid. Well done mick! And give him credit for ebanks, elekobi and for goodness sake don’t forget Kightly for 25k (possibly the best piece of business ever) Why don’t you all shut up and support the club and manager. It people like you that are the real problem with Wolves!
Lets keep the faith!
S Ward still here!Whoever he spends big on(Striker) will come off the bench like Freddy!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s official, mark the time and date, MM is listening to the fans!!! Very shocking stuff, can’t disagree with any of the names on the list being sold, Edwards was just a waste of wage budget imo, definatley great to see the back of breen too
terrychumpionboggie ! why don’t you add dracula to your nickname because he was a thick count as well
wil you lot stop going on about freddy he was useless.such idiot supporters
153.if mick listened to the fans we would prob be going into oblivion again.listening to the fans?idiot thats the number one reason wer still in this league.wen we get promoterd next year you wont becomplaining then
38- Who is Mike? I think you mean SUPER MICK MCCARTHY!!!!
146stevo, i dont watch afternoon tv cuz im stuck on here posting intresting post for you all to read, boing boing wot times home n away on
154warewolf, fangs for kind comments but i can assure you theres alot more counts on your pages than ours, well its time for my tea,i hope it aint stake agen boing boing no where did i put that silver bullet
Suprised about Rob Edwards. he always showed potential. Gutting. quite suprised about Darren Potter too.
It is a disgrace how super mick has been treated unfairly. Good riddance of FE.
terryCHAMPIONBOGGIE you are an idiot.
Edwards - a shame, but right - too injury prone. Collins? - hmmm - MM obviously sees something in training….
66, Great post, common sense on here at last.
MM has reacted in the correct manor to a really poor season, forget 7th place how many times did we play well last season?? Not many.
Also how many games have those released actually started?? Not many, so get them off the wage bill, thats why Edwards has gone & not Collins, simple.
However I do feel MM is now in the ‘last chance saloon’ & the replacments will have to hit the ground running, otherwise i think he’ll be struggling to stem the tide of anger after not building on the progress of last season.
The chuckle brothers is more your level cretin terry,i reckon you look like Barry.Home and away is aimed at people with a mental age older than you.Now go and play with WorcesterBaggie, another dozy cretin.
Who the hell will buy them tho
whoohoo, another championship season, and another, and another and ………………………………..
They are all Mick’s signings except for Edwards who i dont rekon should be sold anyway
hmmm :s
Well done Mick…….the biggest criticism this year has been about the guy’s arrogance and stubboness to either change a team or play his favoured (Sunderpants) players.
With the clear out he has admitted a few of his signings have not worked out and is prepared to clear the decks and hopefully bring in people of the calibre of Kites, Jarvis, SEB, Elokobi and Keough.
With 4 - 5 solid signings as well as young fringe players finally showing thier promise (Gobern, Little, Ward. Collins, Davies) then we should be in a good enough position to compete in what will be a stronger division next season.
If Morgan is actually paying attention to Wolves rather than events at Anfield then I am sure he will make the necessary management change should we start the season badly.
162wac,and you are getting up that time of a morning to come on here just to see what ive posted boing boing have a nice w/e
With MM in charge your going no where.
SM get INCE in he’s the man to get wolves into
the Premiership
Im over the moon that we are in talks to keep Micky Gray. I really want him to stay, he has been fantastic this season. Also, im happy Craddock might be staying too.
C’mon you Wolves!!!!
MM has hugely under achieved this season. Ending up with 8 (mostly average) strikers highlights his own confessions of his mistakes. However, I do believe that he has the ability to turn things around, and this is based on his ability to diagnose and admit his mistakes and work to move the team forward.
I’m in no rush, as long as I can see the team improving, I’m happy. No manager gets every transfer correct. Lets not forget all the successful signings; Ebanks-Blake, Kightly, Jarvis, Elokobi, Edwards. He is removing the weaker players in our squad and will be replacing them. Lets not expect every replacement to be a success. All we should hope for is a general forward movement.
To anyone who may respond with “We have not moved forward according to the league table”, I think you know this is not true. We have an average age of around 10 years younger and would have unquestionably made it into the playoffs had we had Kightly and Ebanks-Blake at our disposal all season.
41 - Rock? More like useless LUMP!!!
Ha ha
wolves has started to decline since ‘taff ‘evans hasn’t been micks number 2. Donw forget ‘taff’ was the one who spotted kightly and elokobi
Elliott will not be going anywhere.
who is gonna pay good money to take him?
This is a ruse to get the fans back on side
and keep face with his favourites.
Should be very ineteresting to see who Mick McCarthy brings in ? His past signings have not been up to much !
On his past signings he will probably be investing in Northern Rock !
What a plonka !
what a joke, cant believe collins not on his way out, hes by far the worse defender ive seen in a wolves shirt and ive been going to wolves for 30 years, that man is a liability. i wouldnt play him in my pub team, mccarthy hasnt got a clue, mr negative with a capital N. if eastwood had played from the start last match we wouldve won more comfortably, eastwood should stay and get rid of that clown of a manager, dont forget he even loaned our best defender to stoke at one point, what a complete clown, cant stand the manager simply not good enough. GET RID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BREEN GOING , HE SHOULD NEVER OF COME . THATS ABOUT 12 POINTS SAVED FOR NEXT SEASON!!
1oo are you mm??? I’ve never read so much rubbish in my life. S Ward playibg his heart out on the wing????? You or me could do that!!!!! Hes no good!!!!!
Elokobi to come inside, hes got one foot and its a swinger, his posit
