Singer to perform as he attends first game

Wolves’ final day showdown with Plymouth tomorrow will have a different flavour with a guest appearance from Bhangra singing superstar Malkit Singh.

Malkit, who has been made an MBE in the New Year Honours for services to Punjabi Music, will be the honorary guest of the Punjabi Wolves community fanbase.

Malkit, who lives in Birmingham, has been an armchair supporter of the club ever since he moved to the UK in the 1980s is attending his first ever professional football game with the Punjabi Wolves to mark their work for the community.

Later this week, he will travel to Buckingham Palace with his family to collect his MBE from the Queen - the first Punjabi artist to receive such an honour.

The Punjabi Wolves, a supporters club founded in 1970, has a strong following locally as well as nationally and this end of season event marks the culmination of a season-long push to encourage support for Wolves among the city’s Punjabi community.
