Albion striker Ishmael Miller today urged the Baggies to ensure the perfect end to their promotion season by making club history at Queen’s Park Rangers tomorrow.
Tony Mowbray’s side head to Loftus Road in west London knowing victory would guarantee Albion’s first championship title for 88 years.
And Miller says the Baggies must beware of QPR if they are to end the season on a high by proving they are the best team in the Championship five days after clinching a return to the Premier League.
“It would mean everything to the players,” said Miller.
“We feel we have got the best squad and the best team in the league but we need to go out and finish at the top of the table to prove that to everyone.
“We need to get the points at QPR and put in a performance that shows we are the best side in the Championship.
“If we can get three points and go up as Champions it would be the perfect end to the season.” Albion have not topped a division since they won the Football League title in 1920 with a team that included the legendary Jesse Pennington.
“They have twice been promoted to the Premier League since the turn of the century but have finished as runners-up on each occasion.
“Now they know a win at QPR would make certain of top spot although they only need to match Stoke’s result to take the title.
Miller said: “We know it will be tough because it is QPR’s last home game and they will be looking to end with a win in front of their own fans ” Hopefully we will go there and get three points and we know that will almost certainly be enough.
“They will see that we have been promoted so they will be desperate to beat us to prove themselves but we all want to win badly to win the title.” “It really be the icing on the cake for this season and would be great for all our fans.”

I predict a win, I can’t see QPR being that interested to be honest.First game for a while I’ll be able to enjoy without worrying sick about the outcome, I’m sure that will be the same for the players too and should help them. Hope we do win it we deserve it for trying to play football all season. I don’t think anyone would begrudge us that.
Play the passing game baggies at Q-P-R and we will be champions ,knowing we are in the premiership will help us to play free flowing football that has promoted us.Will be 1-2 to the baggies then we can all be entertained next season in the premiership
I want to wish Wolves all the best for the play offs, I really hope they join us in the prem. The more Midlands clubs the better as far as I am concerned… cum on you black and cak, Come and join us Baggies and do the black country proud!

Bit like Neil Collins & Jody Craddock LMAO
Come on you Wolves fans. Get behind your manager & team for a change instead of being envious of The Albion. We need you in The Premiership so that we can be certain of some points next season!! You’ve got a good manager, an excellent stadium and some very good youngsters and even if you don’t make it this time, for heaven’s sake, keep backing Mick McCarthy and he’ll turn up trumps. Consistency, is always the winner. Teams that keep changing the manager are doomed to failure.
The fewer Derby Games the better for survival…for me it’s a shame the Villa can’t be relegated with the Blue Noses…:)
Wba are up, i think we deserve to win title,Wolves are going up, stoke are going up
We’ve done it !!!!!! Hail the Champions !!!
Now come on you Wulfies, win the play-offs !!!
CHAMPIONS BOING BOING
fantastic.winning the league the MOWBRAY WAY.
Genuine commiserations to the Wolves and their fans. To miss out by just ONE lousy goal is hard to take. Give your manager another year at least. I still think he can do it and another change isn’t good for players or club. See you ‘UP THERE’ next year.
bye bye wolves ha ha
