they are only jealous really number 11! they cant seem to be able to actually admit you are better than us unlike me so let them have their bit of banter it might make em feel better, but do us a favour and return some of the hundreds of congrats comments youve had from us and wish us well in our unlikely quest for the play offs!!!

    The current midland pecking order:

    Villa
    Birmingham
    Derby
    WBA
    Wolves
    Notts Forest
    Walsall

    Overall historical order:

    Villa
    Forest
    Wolves
    Derby
    WBA
    Birmingham
    Walsall

Will West Brom or Birmingham or Walsall ever win the premiership - unlikely!

Seems to me that most West Brom and Birmingham fans are happy to be slightly better than Wolves. Is that the sum-total of ambition?

Whenever there’s a summer tournament there’s a frantic rush for players after. I think TM has his list already he seems to have been very astute so far. But new names always pop up in these tournaments. I heard we were after Klaas-Jan Huntelaar but then I remembered FM2008 isn’t real lol. Baggies you can have Eastwood if you want him lol.

  15. terrymidlandfan said:

Midlands football is rubbish in the grand scheme of things. Villa huff and puff a bit but the rest are 2nd tier outfits at best!

Just realized I missed Coventry out!

    Historical list should read:

    Villa
    Forest
    Wolves
    Derby
    Coventry
    WBA
    Birmingham
    Walsall

History is History , we all live in today and today this is an accurate assumption of these

    Villa (Rightly so)

Forest (Now trying to gain promotion from League 1, been useless for years)

Wolves (Always think there bigger than they are, at the moment struggling for playoffs, only Sunday can change that, i hope they make it)

Derby (relegated from Premiership breaking records along the way, will be Championship)

Coventry (Championship strugglieers, useless for years)

WBA (yoyo club over last few years, with another chance to TRY and re-establish theirselves in the top flight, time of transition going on IMO)

Birmingham (2nd most succesful midland club over recent times, struggling for survival in premiership)

Walsall (small family club, who will operate with plenty of heart but never be succesfull unfortunately)

Really what has this got to do with anything now

  19. Wbaforever said:

    Nige

There have been a lot of Baggies fans stating
their best wishes for Wolves, so if you missed it,
i`ll reiterate……C`mon Wolves get in them playoffs !!!

    Midlandfan

You keep repeating history, today, the other day,
so i shall reciprocate with a repeat,

    is NOW!! not relevant ?

  20. terrymidlandfan said:

If you all look again at my posting I did two listings - current and Historical.

Why are WBA fans so prickly about football history?

As for Coventry they were one of the longest serving top flight teams until recently.

Now is relevant, yes thats why I listed my current pecking order!

    Notts forest
    Derby
    Birmingham
WBA and Wolves have all spent time in the premier league but all unable to stay there, so I think my point stands.

I don’t really understand this comment:

“Wolves (Always think there bigger than they are”

I think you could say the same for Birmingham, WBA or Wolves!

Why are WBA fans so prickly about football history?

    cause they got none! lol

  24. Wallop said:

    15. Terry if your basing it on history surely Forest should be Top - 2 European cups in a row. (No bigger competion in football).

Villa were lucky to win the league in the 80’s Ipswich handed it over to them on a plate.

  25. wolfiewolfiemcwolfie said:

no.13 terry, and your point is….?
    nonesense debate, pack it in.

    Current midland pecking order??
    Derby above WBA??
WBA Premiership next season, Derby Championship, how did you work that one out??
Or did you simply look at the current league standings??
Personally i would rate WBA above Derby for the simple reason that i have stated above, and for the same reason i would not rank Derby higher than Wolves, lets face it Wolves have more chance of playing Premiership football next season than Derby.

  30. terrymidlandfan said:

    25. wolfiewolfiemcwolfie

My point is midlands football is dross and you all say the same things whoever you support!

And all the teams are the same standard!

Who are you to tell me to “pack it in”?

  31. Wolves9 said:

TWB (Officer Dooey) Happy_Baggie says you need your own show and I would tend to agree, there are lots of programmes about adult education these days and you would be an ideal candidate I would’ve thought. Failing that I shall expect to see you on one of those benifit fraud programmes.

  32. terrymidlandfan said:

    28. WORCESTERBAGGIE says…

“watch out vile we are coming to claim the top dogs spot for the midlands”

Sorry but I think the Villa are pretty safe!

WBA do not have the clout to make a serious attempt at the top flight. I know you hate this but as a club you are not big enough or famous enough in this ‘celebrity’ world.

As far as the midland clubs that may one day steer a course to the top along with Villa I think it would have to be Birmingham (because the city Second city needs a big football club so investment may be found through political will) and Wolves because of the sheer weight of their footballing history. They are famous across the globe!

  33. TonyWBA said:

“I think you could say the same for Birmingham, WBA or Wolves!”

No I don’t think you can,
Birmingham on the whole have been up in the Premiership lately, they do not believe they are going to win the Premiership but are on the whole resigned to knowing they face a battle to keep their position in the Premiership and of course if they come down to Championship they expect to go back up, surely they are not being unrealistic with that thought.

West Brom, We also know that Premiership football is a big ask, and we will also find 17th place next season being a fantastic season, as that will mean survival, as I stated WBA are IMO going through a transitional stage, which could possibly earn a more regular Premiership basis, but we will not know this until we see how we fair next season, but yes in the Championship admittedly we expect to go back up, is that unreasonable???

Wolves, every season we all hear how Wolves are going to storm the league (and this has been going on for years) only once have Wolves managed this via the playoffs, last year they reached the playoffs which then somehow sent expectation levels soaring, and Wolves fans once again bleating they gonna storm the league, which as it turns out they are fighting for a playoff place which is out of there hands.
The general thought of a Wolves fan is they are bigger than West Brom, my question is how long ago was that?? because in this day and age they have no real arguement for this.

As you have already stated in your opinion Midlands football is dross and you seem intent on upsetting the fans on this site.
Your argument is weak at best and your historical references are incorrect.

Your arguement regarding Blues I won’t really argue with, yes they should with them being the 2nd city hold more stature, your arguement regarding Wolves as you state is blah blah blah
