Davies backs Grass Roots Live

Curtis Davies will be the official ambassador at the Grass Roots Football Live event in Birmingham.

More than 15,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day event which runs from Friday, May 30 to June 1.

Coaching clinics will be held by former Liverpool academy director Steve Heighway, Crewe Alexandra manager and technical director Dario Gradi, West Ham academy director Tony Carr and many more. Stan Collymore and Harry Redknapp will also be at the show.

Young players will be put through their paces by coaches at the event.

Davies added: “Grass roots football has generated a huge amount of debate recently and is a subject close to my heart. I have very fond memories of when I was playing for my local junior club sides in East London.”
