Bednar to undergo surgery

Roman BednarAlbion striker Roman Bednar hopes to celebrate a Championship title triumph on Sunday before going under the surgeon’s knife.

Bednar has been playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks and is set for a hernia operation after the QPR clash.

“I have played for the last three months with a hernia and I need the operation as soon as possible,” said Bednar

“This season I have played without getting injured. For the first time, I’ve started a season and been able to play through without injuries. I think this is my best form. I think Tony Mowbray is very happy with me. Now I need a good holiday and some rest to get myself ready for the Premier League.”

Bednar is still waiting to wrap up his £2.5m move this summer although there are assurances by Tony Mowbray that the deal with Hearts will go through.

“He has already spoken with me and said he wants me to stay,” he said.

“That was nice to hear because I’ve worked really hard. I still don’t know for certain about my future here but I think I’ve had a good season.”

I think there should be a vote up the top right hand corner for the wolves:

How will the Wolves fare in the championship next season ?

    Mid Table Bordom - 82%
    Top Six - 18%
Promoted - NO chance in hell

Hope his op goes OK and he performs for us in the Prem. As for Dingles, hope they go up with us through playoffs. Will really miss the games with them if they dont make it.
Still Man Utd will be a fair substitute

Going from a post last week regarding Bednar’s unhappiness

Do you think from this Bednar is unhappy?

2 - Maybe if you had of read the article you would have realised that nowhere within it was it quoted by Bednar himself that he felt let down. But then again you are most probably illiterate.

Anyway.. if Bednar plays that well with a hernia think how much better he will be fully fit!
    Come on you Baggies!
