Dean isn’t a bad prospect although we will face competition to hire him as a few other clubs are after him including Norwich, Swansea and Stoke.

I’m not sure he could replace the rocks we have in a center of defence already.

i had a dream last night that you won on sunday and watford and palace lost and you won the play off final at wembley, but as i said it was only a dream, boing boing going up the MOWBURY WAY

Terry a comparison you bought a stiker from Celtic and we bought one from Plymouth, which would you prefer ?
It doesn’t matter what club they play for it’s how good they are.
    Can your brain understand that?

  6. nige wolf said:

hereford, spurs, who cares where they come from as long as they do the business, where did kites come from terry? Grays, rest my case! why go and spend millions if you can get a top quality player for shrapnel, thats where good football brains and eyes come in, anybody can wave a wad around if they have it, and they then get fleeced by grossly inflated transfer fees because the selling club knows the buying club are loaded!!

  7. terryweare2ndbaggie said:

Got em biting early havent you tel?

Makes me sick SkySports, only ever showing the same teams on TV week in week out, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Brom.

Its a shame for the small clubs when only the BIG five are on telly all the time.

  10. wbabomber said:

lets face it everybody, the football season is coming to a close and the papers have nothing else to do other than speculate on transfer rumours. It matters not where you aquire good players from, it is a question of whether they are good enough and represent good value. My mind is well and truly on tonights game, i am as nervous as hell and will require a few jars to calm my nerves!!!

  11. wolves said:

boing boing up down up down the mowbury way

  12. wolveswolves said:

    5) Cover LOL you paid the same amount for him as we paid for SEB.

    Can your brain understand that?

    9) I think your opinion of the village idiot is a little high. He’s mildly amusing at times and just funny the rest. I’d be very embarrased if he supported my club.

  13. nige wolf said:

god terry, are you a complete idiot or do u just help em out when theyre short staffed?! youre funny tho, lightens my cr@ppy monday up!

  14. TonyWBA said:

Well already I’m sitting here clock watching, I can’t wait, luckily I’m only at work until 12.30 then me & my partner have got the 2nd scan of our forthcoming child which may help pass the time away before tonights climax at the Hawthorns, hope fully we can get promotion sorted tonight and then leave QPR Saturday to try and claim out 1st title in 80 odd years

  15. baggy 1 said:

well if he his half as good as S Ward,
you idiots will have another world class
player, to go with all your other world class
players, and a world class manager.
In Mad MM we trust, give him a 30 year contract.
Good to see morgan spending his money, just remember idiots, this is the type of player you will need, when you get in the Div 1

  16. terrytop2nitebaggie said:

13,nige no need to call me god, thats tony MOWBURY

  17. baggy 1 said:

  19. terrytop2nitebaggie said:

12,wilf wilf, dont worry mate you aint got to worry about me supporting your lot,i think there maybe a few of your fans joining us though, being as there starved of success going up the MOWBURY WAY

  20. nige wolf said:

14, hope your partner doesnt read this column as you seem to rate the west brom game higher than the forthcoming birth of your child! but seriously, hope everythings fine with mom + baby.

  21. terrymidlandsfan said:

    TonyWBA says…

“try and claim out 1st title in 80 odd years”

To be fair, it says it all really doesn’t it lads?

You should have walked this league but in reality you may still get piped by Stoke and Hull!

Not very good really is it?

As for the ‘big five’ hahahahahahahahahahahah!

In the grand scheme of things you are a long way from being at the top of the list as far as success in the midlands goes!

Villa, Notts Forest, Derby and Wolves have all had far more success. WBA are in a power struggle with the Blue Noses for 5th place!

Get real Albion, you are punching above your weight and you always have been!

  22. wbabomber said:

    Tonywba

Congrats and i hope all is well, the scan might show your bundle of joy boing boinging!!!

I will be in the Sportsman and then the Vine, who is joining me????

  23. catman said:

terrytop2nitebaggie, can you please learn how to spell your mamagers name… its not mow-bury!

  24. Wbaforever said:

    Terry

Not sure who you`re team is, not really important
    for this debate anyway.

People often use history to placate themselves
due to current circumstances, as if NOW is of no relevance.

Of all the clubs you mention, there is only Villa we would want to exchange places with.

    Forest, third tier
    Derby, any comment needed ?
Blues, possibly on the way down
    Wolves, possibly playoffs.

I think it`s you that should get real Terry.

  25. wandering_wolf said:

Can I piggyback the Hereford rumour to congratulate Graham Turner and his Hereford team on their promotion?

The man is a genius. Well done, Mr. Wonderful Former Boss!

  26. brummie rob wolves said:

A Tottenham player that never gets a shirt. Great move.
The truth is that you will probably get promoted and then have to rip your side apart. Wolves have a youth policy and whatever happens on Sunday, thinks are looking good for next season. With players like Murray, Davies, Gleeson, Gobern to come back plus having Kites and Jarvis fit for a season, we will only need to sign 3 or 4 - a couple more if the unlikely happens.
Albion on the otherhand will need to be signing 7 or 8 players.

  27. brummie rob wolves said:

    9) Telford Baggie - so there is one fan over there. A wolves stronghold town.
We will get used to seeing a new team next season on Sky - West Bromwich Albion 0 !

  28. terrytop2nitebaggie said:

23 cat, youv just bin reeled in mate, in the net you go boing boing going up the MOWBURY WAY

  29. TonyWBA said:

Many thanks all for the good wishes.

Nige Wolf, luckily the missus don’t look on here mate, coz I dropped a clanger last week when I said “can’t wait til Monday, it could be party time”.
She answered “You will also find out the sex of your child…..but that don’t matter does it”

oops put my foot right in it.

    Terry,
    I’m a die hard Wolves fan & I’ve gotta give u credit u continually reel em in…….
Going up The McCartney way (10p, 50p time)

  31. Happy_baggie said:

I love all the wolves comments about how we should have walked this league - conveniently forgetting that it was actually THEY who were bookies faves at the start of the season, along with Charlto and Watford….

Albion were only playoff contenders, so if anyone should have walked this league its wolves - although that now sounds ridiculous.

  32. Telford Baggie said:

27 brummie, yes Telford does yield a fairly strong contingent of dingles. Some very dignified who have been supporting since the days of local hero Billy Wright, but most jumped on the bandwagon in the Jack Hayward days, and have since jumped back off in droves after years of misery and upheaval.

  33. Darlo Dingle said:

First title in 80 odd years. Now thats FUNNY.

  34. DudzieWolf said:

WBA - Good luck for tonight although you probably won’t need any luck against Soton. We are still rebuilding and hope to join you in the Prem the year aftr next. This season has been practically dead for us for some time now. Can’t beleive we’re still in the mix on Sunday, even if other slip up now I’m not gonna be too speculative about our chances

  35. Happy_baggie said:

TonyWBA - just wanted to add my congrats to you and your family…. should be a graet year for you all told.

If its a boy are you going to call him Tony or Kev ????

  36. wolfie said:

Happy, how many people EVER believe a bookie !!!!

  37. Happy_baggie said:

Wolfie - they don’t usually get it THIS wrong do they ??

However i recall it wasn’t just the bookies who made you favorites - we couldn’t move on here for the “Freddies gonna get ya” and “up by christmas” comments you guys were posting - not to mention the “sold all ya players” stuff we were getting.

Still, thats why the current situation is soooo sweet.

  38. brummie rob wolves said:

I think all you Albion fans are totally wrong here about who were favourites at the start. Most bookies had Albion favourites with Charlton I think, so get your facts right.
As for the buffoons that are commenting about Wolves supposedly getting a player from Hereford. Where did Kightley come from? Grays and he would stroll into your team. Enough said on this subject!

  39. Happy_baggie said:

38 - my facts are right pal - you were bookies favorites at Hills AND paddy power with Charlton 2nd and Watford / west brom 3rd depending on where you went - I know cos I’m in line for a nice pay out…. so get YOUR facts right (too late to get a quid on us now though).

Also - I think we will decide when enough has been said - just cos you are boo hooing don’t mean the rest of us are… But if you were getting promoted to the prem would you still be looking at players from hereford ? - actually you probably would. MUG.

Wolves are targetting Hereford defender Dean Beckwith on a free transfer in the summer.

This will BLOW a hole in Morgans Millions… HA HA HA

  41. Wbaforever said:

    Brummie Rob

The facts are right, Wolves WERE the bookies favourites before the season kicked off,
in fact it was a fact that several of your Wolves
colleagues were all to eager to point out.

Also Rob, you are a regular contributor to these boards, and dare i say enjoy poking fun
    in our direction,
so why are people buffoons when they reciprocate with equally tongue in cheek p***
    taking ?

  44. Ryan said:

    12) Yes I can understand that we spend 1.25mil on a bit part player and you pay the same amount for a first choicer player, just goes to show we are a lot better of than our neighbours down the road in Dinglehampton.

  45. Dingle Dan said:

man you albion fans look really ard when you all boing!! scary even!

  46. brummie rob wolves said:

I think you will find that we might have been equal favourites with some and Albion were right up there, as they should be as losing finalists inthe play offs.
    Getting brave aren’t you Tescos!

  47. HerefordWolf said:

beckwith isnt a bad player , i have watched Hereford a few times this season but he isnt that good and i think he will stay at hereford now they are promoted

    out of darkness cometh light

Terry, its Mowbray… thats MOWBRAY… got it yet you moron ? thats M.O.W.B.R.A.Y,… i know its 2 syllables and 7 letters and your little brain cant comprehend much more and you probably dont even know what a syllable is but for christs sake, if you’re going to continue to antagonise people with your utter rubbish then at least give the guy some credit by spelling his f@#king name right, he is taking you up after all. Congratulations to the Albion on a good season which has finally paid off for you and commiserations for having such a moron supporter in tellyismamoronloserbaggie boRing boRing

  49. Kilroys Left Eyebrow said:

The truth is that in about 10 months time the baggies will already be relegated back down, they know it, you know it, we all know it.

That said, i’d still rather have the Albion coming up than Wolves… i mean, the Albion are fun for the neutral to cheer but Wolves, nah… no-one likes them, seriously no-one except maybe a few kids who get free tickets and some random old people who took a wrong turn on the way to ASDA.
