One of the nicest places to eat is The Badger Inn in Eccleshall.
Its a modest looking pub,but inside its wonderful.
The landlord is fantastic nothing is to much trouble for him and his staff and the food is wonderful, very well priced and the service has now got up to speed.
I say the best place to eat out is the POLONIA RESTAURANT AT MARKET PLACE,GREAT BRIDGE.
They are most helpful and the food is gorgeous be prepared as dishes are POLISH in the main but the prices are very modest to say the least.
So go on treat yourself and try the POLONIA you will not regret it.
Although it’s expensive, it’s got to be the Bilash on Cheapside. Best curries around without a doubt.
On a visit to friends in the U K we went to a local Pub “Hare&Hounds” at Shenstone Nr. Kidderminster, we went there on 4 occasions during a week. The food was fantastic, perfectly cooked vegetables, wonderful mouth-watering pastry on meat pies etc.Good steaks, beautiful Lamb, all very pleasently served, proper portions of food, clean.Wood fire in the fireplace. I cannot praise this pub enough, its quality and selection far outways some of the so called stared Resturants, oh and its sweets are superb. Cost for two people including wine , sweets and coff. approx £30.This is a must for anyone within striking distance. No big advertising signs, just looks like a normal pub.
If you are looking for a good greasy fry up, you have got to go to Jeans cafe on Bilston Road, Wolverhampton. It is your basic transport cafe with no frills but does one of the best Sausage and Egg sandwiches and offers great value. A night on the town with a good knees try Zorbas Dance Stafford Street, Wolverhampton. Very quiet on Tuesday to Thursday nights but if you like Greek Food, book up for a Friday or Saturday as there is a three course meal and live Greek entertainment into the early hours. Good value as the entertainment comes free.
the Lai-do on the Birmingham new road- exquisite cantonese served superbly in a tin foil try, if heaven were made of foil, this is what it would be!
I’d have to agree with ‘The Monkey Nut’, £3.70 for 3 in 1 is fantastic value!
the prawn crackers are to die for and the staff are very friendly, although if i were to improve the lai-do i would introdue seating arrangements.
sit down lai-do, lai-do sit down!
Lai Do, B’ham New Road, Coseley. Exquisite Cantonese food! Very friendly staff always a smile on their face, good value for money £3.70 for a 3 in 1 special doesn’t get much better than that! I highly recommend the Lai Do on the B’ham New Road Coseley it’s to die for! Bon Appetite!

As soon as you walk through the door Don Vito warmly welcomes you and ushers you upstairs
to meet Panos the incredible cocktail barman. All cocktails are made with passion using
fresh fruits & herbs a little time consuming but worth waiting for.
The menu is awesome. Fresh fish, pasta, pizza, chicken, steak cooked to perfection.
Service is efficient, staff are polite helpful & attentive. The atmosphere is buzzing on
Saturdays so a quiet romantic meal would be better celebrated on a week night.
The Wagon & Horses in Wombourne is a great place to eat, the staff are friendly & the food is delicious, also the Three Hammers Bistro at the golf club in Coven is an ideal place for a special occasion, they go out of their way to add the extra little touches.
We would highly recommend our local THE TIGER in walstead road delves walsall
It is a cosy pub packed to the hilt with fascinating
Jack Daniels memorabilia.
The food is freshly prepared good portions and excellent quality.the price of a meal ranges from £3.50 to £6.95 for steak the salad is always the freshest that we ever eat out even the coleslaw is homemade.there is a nice atmosphere
The Tiger is well worth a visit.
I would recommend the Prince of Wales pub on the Tipton Road in Sedgley on a Sunday. There is a two course carvery which is fantasic and brilliant for the price of £5.95 for adults and £3.95 for children, with brilliant staff and management so its great atmosphere to be in!
The Prince of Wales is a pub worth visiting!!
the fox at shipley is a must.
The new management “Kerry and Neil”have created a
super atmosphere and the service is excellent.
The sizzler steak is to die for.
one of the best breakfasts to be had is from MG diner on the birmingham new road near the old GKN site. Its good value always hot and delivered with a smile and as engineers we know where the best cafe are.
I ate at the khusboo on the birmingham new road last night.
i have to say that it wasnt the best.
a little pricey and the staff werent very helpful, however if you are tanked up on lager and fancy a no frills masalla, it does the trick.
Ate at MG’s diner on the B/ham new Rd. The breakfast is very good value and very hot.
Try it out i’m sure you’ll agree.
i ate at Dhillions in Bradley at the weekend, it’s a mix between turkish, greek and idian cuisine and it was delightful, good value, great service and the kebab was sumptiuos, i recommend this place highly, very upmarket though, best get the penguin suit on!
“WOW” if you want a good breakfast on a sunday morning you must try “MG’S Cafe” its the best around it must be “Michelin stars” standard
I’ve recently been working as a surveyor along Birmingham New Road Wolverhampton (WV4) and ate breakfast every day at MG’s Cafe. Wow! Not only were portions more than adequate but the quality was always excellent and fresh. My job means I have to eat at many many places around the UK and this undoubtedly has been the best brekkies. My waistline says so also!
For a really good curry try the Rangamati, Lichfield Rd in Wednesfield. Food quality & presentation is second to none, the service is 100% with staff who treat you as a friend not as a customer,,,,,Sundays are great with an all you can eat buffet at a reasonable price.
The best place i have been so far is wing wah in birmingham there is so much to choose from with the buffet
rose village at roseville coseley offers an all you can eat for 9.50 on sunday lunchtimes.you couldn’t ask for better service and all food is cooked freshly as you ask for it.superb food and no limit to what you would like to try with help in ordering of you are not sure.friendly staff will make your visit a memorable one.
After hearing the Fox at Shipley was under new ownership I decided that it was time I returned, & see if it had improved since the previous owner.
What a delight it was to walk into a warm & welcoming pub, it was lighter & cleaner, and there is a new seating area with leather settees to relax if only wanting a drink.
The staff were extremely friendly, polite and very helpful.
The Menu for April offers a 2 for 1 offer, which is excellent value for money with plenty of choice
The food was superb, and was accompanied by a great bottle of red wine.
I am so glad that I returned and would like to wish the new owners Kerry & Neil all the best for the future and I’m sure I will be seeing a lot more of them & their staff, as there are so many more dishes on the menu i want to try!
Our favourite place to eat is The Rainbow in Coven.
We are always greeted by the Manager with a smile. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere and very polite and attentive staff. There is always offers on the excellent varity of meals served. You do need to book as it is a very popular place.
Good fresh home cooked food at the Holly Bush Seighford, Stafford. And Monday night is Steak Night only £5,99. A lovely friendly atmosphere I find it hard to beat.
The best place i have eaten recently was without a doubt the Springhill, Warstones Road. The menu offered a large variety of delicious and hearty food which was presented in an eye-catching and contemporary style. The service was great with all 13 meals arriving hot, at the same time, exactly as requested and very tasty. The group of all ages ranging from 7 - 78 all were pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants good food for a good price. 10 out of 10.
For a decent Brekkie or sandwich try Kels Munch box in upper church lane Tipton , have been going there for years and the food and staff couldn’t be better.
PEDRO’s Kingswinford is an excellent Indian resturante for over 2yrs we have been there and every time we and various friends have always had a good tasty meal without a doubt. Try it its a great place.
I’ve travelled extensively all over the world and eaten in many excellent restaurants.
However one of my all time favourites is “Made in Thai” in Wolverhampton.
The food is amazing and the service excellent.
It has a really good vegetarian range too.
Thai food is often overlooked as people tend to stick to Chinese.
Give it a whirl, you next favourite meal could be just around the corner!!
The Vine known as the Bull & Bladder, Delph Rd,Brierley Hill.
Spend £2.50 on the lunch and you won’t neeed to eat for the rest of the day.
try trindles restaurant at the station hotel dudley the food is great and not too overpriced especially there 3 course sunday lunch for £7.95 i had a gorgeous homemade toffee cheesecake to die for
Some of the best food to be had in Wolverhampton surely has to be on the Dudley Road many of the Pubs offer a Tandori Mixed Grill for a very reasonable price (£5)! Personal favourite at the moment is the Kings Arm but they’re all really good!
the best pub to eat at in wolverhampton has got to be the rose & crown on the penn road, a friend of mine intoroduced me to it a month ago, the menu is wonderful the food comes piping hot and are all at very resonable prices, we ate there a couple days ago and both ate for £7! got a lovely selection of house wines too the house rose wine is a must.
the rose & crown on penn road, wolverhampton is a must try, went there with a friend last month and again a couple days ago their menu is wonderful lots of choice, food portions generous and mon-sat 2.30pm to 6pm two eat for £7. we also tried the rose house wine very nice a must try definately
The Toad in the Hole Cafe, Hainge Rd,Tividale is brilliant. Friendly staff, very clean and freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. It’s in the middle of an industrial estate but don’t let all those men in greasy overalls put you off, it’s a fab place to eat in or out.
Just read The Insider’s view on Di Napoli,Oldbury. Can’t agree more it’s an excellent place to eat. The food and atmosphere is brilliant, it makes you feel as though you’re at home. We visited the same night as your undercover reporter,we recognised the wedding proposal and birthday, and so did another famous person,a national DJ no less. This shows how the Di Napoli name has spread.Excellent or should I say Bellisimo!
The Sharzia Owen St,Tipton. Excellent curries, best in the Blackcountry. Sometimes a slow service due to their popularity but always friendly and definitely worth the wait. Massive portions, freshly made at very reasonable prices.A take away and delivery service is also available.
Phoenix Dragon,Carters Green,West Bromwich. Excellent chinese buffet restaurant, friendly helpful but not overbearing staff as in some chinese/cantonese restaurants. The food tastes very individually done and not mass produced, you can taste the flavours in each dish and the menu is changed depending on seasonal products.A good selection on the buffet which always means we go back again and again.
Pedro,s kingswinford, excellent food. Excellent service and nice staff
My all time favourite place is La Tasca restaurant in Broad syrett, Birmingham.
This is a lovely Spanish Tapas restaurant which is dimly lit and can be a place to have a nice romantic candlelit meal or for family ocassions. On cetain days there is also Salsa dancing on the dance floor nearby (optional!)
The food is delicious and the menu large and varied. The food can be ordered individually in small portions, so you can order lots of different dishes or have a set meal. Altough it is not cheap-its worth it!
On a more competitive note the Tipton Pie factory does a lovely meal for under ten pounds per person!
It was delicious, filling and well worth the visit!
Try the newly open buffet restaurant BIG PAN in bilston road, willenhall, so many selections and decoration is brillian
The Royal Oak Tettenhall Wood is a great place to eat. Excellent food, a varied and value for money menu. The food is freshly cooked and ample portions, you will struggle to eat a pudding!!! If you also like traditional ales, the guest beers area must. If you are in the area give it a try.
Start the day the T.G’s way, T.G’s Diner in blowers green road Dudley, serves home cooked food 7 days a week breakfasts/lunches are freshley cooked everything is prepared in an open plan kitchen so you can see everything thats going on the staff are friendly dressed smartly and curtious, if they don’t know your name when you go in they will certainly know it by the next time you visit, the welcome is always big good value good food and plenty of it i would drive 5 miles out of my way to eat at T.G’s try it once you won’t be dissapointed and you will certainly go back for more.
Ye Olde Toll House in Willenhall is a very pleasant place to eat. You can’t fault the food, the service or the price. I’ve been a few times and had an enjoyable experience every time.
I LOVE Bella in Chapel Ash (Wolves). The food is gorgeous, and the service is great. Pasta, pizza, fish, meat and vegetarian.. lovely starters and side dishes (the olives are gorgeous), garlic bread etc etc.. The prices are good too.. starters for around £5-6, pasta for around £7-13 (£12ish for a big bowl of seafood linguine.. yumm)! I go there quite a lot, and have never had a bad meal.
For a brilliant Indian cuisine try Indigo in Aldridge - take your own drink and the food and restaurant decor/service are superb - Bon Apetite - Enjoy
Ihave to agree with John Pauls comments about the Big Pan on the Bilston Road in Willenhall . The food is out of this world , the waitresses are really friendly and efficient and the refurbishment is amazing . As the previous owner I saw the building after the vandals had mutilated it . What John and his team have created from that mess is nothing short of a miracle . It is a pleasure to now have somewhere nice to go with the family for a top class meal .Excellent value for money as well . Well done !!
The Gulshan, Bilston.
Simply the best there is. Abdul jalil the owner and award winning head chef is helpful, over generous with portions and a gifted chef. Having been visiting on a Monday night for the past 20+ years I can say from experience it has no equal, and I have tried a few, believe me !
Whilst I agree with the comments made by someone in the E & S on Saturday about the Red Mango on the Wolverhampton Road being an excellent venue I would also like to nominate The Shalimar in the High Street in West Bromwich. The food and service are second to none and the staff are always willing to help and friendly. I’ve been going there for about 8 years and never had a bad meal yet.
I liked the Hare and Hounds in wolverhampton on Stowheath Lane. Now its closed down, but it had nice food. compliments to the cook.
eastern promise on lye high st the best indian cuisine around and the owner blakey is really friendly,
