Roar us on pleads gaffer

mick2.jpgMick McCarthy says the Molineux crowd can play a crucial role as Wolves kick off three successive home games with tonight’s Black Country derby.

Wolves host Albion tonight in front of a sell-out crowd before entertaining play-off rivals Ipswich on Saturday then Cardiff in eight days’ time.

Boss McCarthy says: “It (having three home games) won’t be a disadvantage if we play well. It’s our responsibility to generate that atmosphere and play as well as we have in the last two games.

“Our performances against QPR, Charlton and Bristol City have been as well as we’ve played and, if we do that, the atmosphere will be fantastic.

“The crowd will be fabulous because it’s West Brom at home. They (Albion) will bring a big crowd.”

  23. Happy_baggie said:

18 - nice to know you were watching.

However it was the ref that was booed at half time. And there was no boos at all at the end of the match at all.

Sorry, but you are still the king boo boys !

  24. lostinbristol said:

14 - I hope not - He was rubbish when he came on at Bristol on Saturday, did nothing to merit a starting role in my eyes, I dunno what game you were watching. Kyle’s turn to come off the bench for the last half hour tonight methinks, Freddy can keep his seat warm.

    COME ON ME BABBIES!!

  25. Realist said:

7.HB: “…if we win tonight”….not very confident then are you?……A little doubt creeping in?…….COME ON YOU WOLVES.

  30. Loyal-Cannock-Wolf said:

    7. You’ll be singing at home if you win you mean.

Your fans booed against Watford at half time, listen on the radio for a real home support.

    UP THE WOLVES!

  31. Michael said:

    23. youlot have recently taken over the crown of king boo boys.
all you ever do lately is boo your keeper or the ref most the time because your own team is bottling it the moany mowlbury way.

  32. Loyal-Cannock-Wolf said:

    Can’t wait!

As long as we perform to our potential, we’ll be ok!

    SOUTH BANK!

  33. DebenhamWolf said:

Popped over to the Baggies site, but there was noone in as most are over here for the day. Will have to listen on the Wolves site. I can feel the atmosphere from here and there’s nobody in the stadium yet; electric! Please let us win and win well! No stadium crowd can roar like the Molineux spectators so roar them on to victory. Out of darkness cometh a blaze of light!!!

  34. David Hickman said:

GOOD LUCK ALL THIS IS A REALLY BIG ONE

  35. Loyal-Cannock-Wolf said:

All the booers naff off, you dont help the team, end of!!

The wembley public would like to thank the albion fans for their behaviour against pompey. One resident said “they were so quiet in the ground we hardly knew they were there unlike those noisy pompey fans singing and chanting”

  37. boltonwolf said:

Wolves to run riot tonight, 4-0, and the bogies to finish with 9 men, Mr Clattenberg likes his red cards!

  38. E11 Wolf said:

Good luck to the lads tonight and I hope Happie Baggie is in tears. I think it will be down to luck. We are playing as well as them curently but we have been so consistently unlucky recently, I fear for our result.
A loss will be very serious with palace doing well, a draw will be helpful but I think a win would see us in the play-offs for sure.

We have got to get at them. If we let them play then we will be playing to their game. Forget about anything fancy - just get SEB and Keogh upsetting their defenders -especially in the air- and with Jarvis doing his ’stuff’, we will do well.
I can’t be there but I’ll be cheering at the radio and even we are not doing well early on you lot do the same.

  39. shatpankwolves said:

not a problem mick!!! ill be there chanting 100% till the end whatever the result

Everybody got behind the team last night, but you know, no matter how loud I sang the team didn’t get any better!

McCarthy’s day of reckoning is getting closer.

  46. TF10Wolf said:

How on earth can we get behind the team and build up the pre-match atmosphere, when the idiots turn the music up SO BLOODY LOUD for the fifteen minutes before the teams come out that you can’t get any chanting going.
Turn the music OFF and perhaps we can make an atmosphere.
